It does seem to be totally random , logged in yesterday on three different browsers , it was the browser I last logged in on that I got past the donut and eventually a ticket, could the browser make any difference, the one I got through on was Opera .
Each time you open with a new browser it creates a new session. You need to access with a different IP address to join a different session. There's no benefit to open several browsers. Your best bet is to use your mobile but dont log in just join the queue first in addition to PC.

Hotspur+ member tickets went on sale Monday but apparently only 1000 were available. They went on sale to all Hotspur members today (apparently around 6000 available) but no longer any priority to Hotspur+ members... so what really is the point of Hotspur+? Paying extra to get a very slight chance of getting tickets earlier? That seems a little poor from the club (and it probably was always a similar case but we're aware of it now).
I thought the main point of a Hotpur+ membership was a place on the ST waiting list rather than additional ticket priority.

It's always been the case that there's only a tiny allocation of around 1k to bronze/ Hotspur+ members. Surprised there's such a an outrage to this. I get people are pissed off they didn't get a ticket, but there's 90k+ on the season ticket waiting list alone, not including normal members, and around 7k tickets to go round. Chances are you were gunna miss out

From experience it does seem random. I think when I last encountered the donut, I had two browsers open and the second one got in before the first. At least that is what i think.

The best best though is to just have one browser open but make sure you are logged in first if possible to save time.

I have a season ticket now though thankfully.

Its all powered by Ticketmaster, and you're right about the browsers but they actively encourage you to use more devices from the same IP address.
All they discourage is having more than one tab open at once per browser, as then they'll kick you out as you'll appear like a bot.

Use More Than One Computer
Two fans are better than one – toss a friend your tablet. But don't use more than one browser (or browser tab) on each device, or we'll think you're a bot and cancel your tickets.

Yes but have more than one computer to log on with. Early log with one computer did not get through, later log on with other computer different browser did get through . Have a mobile but its basic cheap Nokia with no internet so not an option . It was obviously demand have never failed to get a ticket for any match that I have tried for before, have always got through I just got lucky yesterday or rather lucky for Grandson its on his account .

I think that's a little bit naive/misunderstands the point.

We all expected/knew this game was gonna sell out. As will basically all our Home matches for the rest of this season. So no-one is surprised at that.

What people seem to be surprised/curious about is what the point of the memberships are/how the donut works.

Then it's the idea of the donut and the queue and if we're taking posters on this site at their word then there seems to be very little rhyme of reason for where you end up in the queue depending on when you log in to it and that the donut itself is unclear/doesn't let you know where you are in the queue.

And I've seen a couple of people mention that if you want a ticket you should 'Just get a season ticket' and I have to say that that is an insanely privileged viewpoint. Not everyone can do that. Both via season ticket waiting lists and money.

TLDR: We expected it to sell out quickly, duh. We just had forgotten/aren't impressed with the clubs ticketing system.

Well said. These exact points needs to be addressed by the trust to levy and donna.

Feel sorry for supporters who recently purchased Hotspur + thinking they will one day get s season ticket

Also starting the think the totally shit ticketing software is deliberate to make getting a ticket seem that much more special

The advanced ticket allocation window is one of the selling points of Hotspur +. The trouble is they only specify access to an initial allocation of tickets which is very vague. It's not at all clear how limited that allocation of tickets is.

I do agree though that fans shouldn't be too upset at the club. They have just done it at random and there will be plenty of fans delighted to have got their tickets. Demand was always going to be high for this one and I'm sure the remaining games left this season will be the same. I'm just glad I got the test event tickets because if I were to fail to get to any of the remaining games it will be a long summer wait to see a game there. They also seriously need to do a better ticket sale process where tickets can only be sold at face value.

Because they definitely need to do that to prove the first game at the new stadium is special.

If the main point of a Hotpur+ membership was a place on the ST waiting list, then they should do away with the additional ticket allocation on the day before the remaining tickets go on sale to the wider (non+) members. It would be much simpler to just have one window the tickets go on sale to all members, rather than the disingenuous benefit as a +member of entering an even worse lottery for the first tiny batch of tickets.

Even if you did it on loyalty basis, loyal fans will be let down.
It's just the way it is. You could have sold 162k let alone 62k for the first game.

My one and only hope is those that purchased a membership just to get first dibs and got one, are genuine fans and go to the game, rather than some unscrupulous ***t that's looking for a profit.

The club should be more open with how many tickets are available in each window. It always used to state that Hotspur+ members get 1000 tickets the day before normal members. They don't say how many are available at the new stadium, it could be more.

Likewise they should say roughly how many are available to all members on ticket day.

I'll just keep looking as I've always been able to get tickets in the past via ST returns or away allocations not taken up (assume this won't happen much in the next few seasons)

If the UK government would get up and do something about it i.e selling tickets at far above face value then this wouldn't happen. I believe for the Olympics laws were passed about reselling of tickets , maybe wrong but think I read it somewhere. I think Wimbledon Tennis have done something as well about the reselling not sure what they have done again read it somewhere but can't remember exactly

7K Members
3K Away Tickets
10K Sponsor, Corporate, TV & Media
