Those navy seats are superb! I couldn't gouge my calves or shins if I tried either.

The chances of safe standing are so tiny. While those bastard police are still alive we won't get safe standing

*edit for clarity - I mean those in the South Yorkshire police who are guilty of changing officer statements, covering up witness reports, altering witness reports, and everything else done to blame the victims of hillsborough rather than the actual criminals inside the police.

Don't think the stadium will have much of an effect on player purchases, simply because we don't do much net spending on players anyway

We usually only spend the money from player sales to reinvest in the squad

Every now and again we might have a season where we end up with a £20m net spend, but that's very manageable for a club of our revenue

Not saying that our transfer policies couldn't be improved upon, but I don't see them being greatly effected by the stadium build

Incidentally, it's interesting that the press don't report this. They just go with the line that we'll struggle while the stadium is being built and then paid for. This, in turn, leads to opposition fans parrotting the same line :meh:

But we've been doing the Net Zero transfer strategy to pay for the stadium including the land acquisition and other costs that have already been paid for. Once we're in there we'll have a bit more money to spend. Obviously we'll still have to pay off the debt, but that should be at a manageable rate each year. And as others have said we'll be able to pay more in wages as well.

I love the way that they've camouflaged it by putting a handful of gravel over the top of it. There's absolutely no way that any of the builders could possibly see that and remove it

My reading of it is that its the builders who put it there in the first place.

They should not have any sway anyway. The only arguments I have ever heard against safe standing have been based on emotion, they have never had a basis in fact.
True but it is a sensitive issue to the club and they won't want to go against their wishes, this will allow them to make their own decision.
