For a training ground, im sure we did say this (or something along those lines) when it was being built.

But i doubt we have better facilities than dedicated injury rehab clinics. Also players will go and see specialists if they need to, happens at most clubs.
But then why do we see players going to their ex clubs for rehab? It's not for a specialist they just like the other medical team or something?

Come across some ITK info yesterday. Nothing ground breaking. Vorm is on £45k per week. Quite a lot for a sub keeper but he is a International and proven PL keeper so I guess that's the going rate lol

And please excuse me, where have I commented on the validity of your info or your sources? And, most importantly, why do you feel like you need to show me how big is your cock? I couldn't give a fuck about your need of feeling important. Is me the one you're trying to convince or is it actually you?

And its comments like these that will eventually see the end of any possible ITK/passing on info in good faith that we all live and love on this site

Friedel would surely have been on a figure around that amount for the last couple of years also as back-up keeper. We got him when he was still an established PL keeper, from Aston Villa who let wages spiral out of control somewhat, and brought him in as first choice keeper. We also had Gomes, who by all accounts was on a massive wedge too...

I think personally as a club we are quite generous with wages, we might not pay crazy amounts (which Levy will get moaned at for) but all the players get bunched in a similar bracket in my opinion (40-60k), with a few seen as 'key' players then higher still.

Dembele too went to Belgium for medical treatment of his injury. Maybe that's normal, I don't know.

Walker playing so long with a messed up foot was not great either was it? He was running on a course of injections of something or other to keep him able to play at one point last season if i'm not wrong.

Well your second post for a start here....

And how is that equal to me saying you're making stuff up?

And for your second part fella, you really need to stop the amature psychology.... I got no interest in how important u think i am or u think that i think i am!

You certainly could have fooled me by getting so sensible and aggressive the second someone starts questioning your claims (and not even the info you were passing, just the way you were expressing it).

Where did you hear that and who was the player?
You see photos of players going back to their former clubs for rehab/going abroad for treatment. Like Vertonghen, Paulinho, Dembele, etc. The player the medical team had no clue was hurt was Lamela.

Where did you hear/read that about Lamela. In regards to your first point, It's a good sign that are players go abroad to see specialists, if out medical team tried to treat every thing themselves, it would be a failure, instead we send players off to the best in their field to make sure they get the best care. Imagine if your GP tried to operate on you to remove your appendix or administer Chemo (or even send you for it without referring you to a specialist). I think some people (not necessarily you) think that our medical team is or should be a full functioning hospital.

That ITK was from someone who was not approved by the mods after countless asking.

More importantly he was WRONG! I wish people would stop slating our medical team. They do a quality service for our team, they are assesed and have to answer to the board as well.
The board would not have a medical team in place who was putting important assets at risk!

Our medical team are top proffesionals and each year improve there knowledge and always try to get new treatments to help our players.
You seem to know alot about our med team. How do you know that they "each year improve their knowledge and always try to get new treatments to help our players?"

It's not ideal though, that for the first 2 games of the season, we had 100 year old Brad on the bench after we spent good money on a young keeper. How long will this go on for? Can someone explain this piece of AEL team news as reported on the official site:

"Michel Vorm, another late returnee from the World Cup with Holland, continues to work on his specific fitness programme."

Michel Vorm returned late from the world cup with Holland. He's continuing to work on his own fitness programme, specific to him.

Hope that helps.

Yeah, but that's what I don't get. The world cup was ages ago, he's only considered "late" when compared with the rest of the players who returned to training earlier but the world cup was still ages ago, so I just can't see how he would not be available. During the world cup he would have been training every day. It's not like he was doing F all during the comp and then joined us totally unfit. The same goes for all the other WC players who couldn't make the west ham match.

I thought I read something yesterday, possibly on the BBC, that Vorm wasn't involved yet due to the issues surrounding his transfer fee.

I don' think that's why he's not involved. There are issues surrounding it, but it's between Swansea and Utrecht. Utrecht had a %age sell on fee to be paid to them when he transferred on (don't know what %ge, but significant) and seemingly Swansea have screwed them over by wrapping the Vorm and Davies deal up together and thus not paid on any fee to Utrecht, who have lodged a compaint to UEFA or FIFA or whoever. But it's between them on a financial level, it does not touch us or the players ability to play for us i think.

I agree, to all those who do doubt I would suggest they ask Fabrice Muamba what he thinks of our Medical Team???

Cant disagree with that, our medics were roundly & rightly applauded for that. But 2 things occur to me, firstly it's an entirely different kettle of fish acting as a first responder to a life threatening medical emergency & secondly was a lot of the success of that intervention not attributed to a doctor who was taken from the crowd?

I am in NO WAY meaning to detract from the excellent work done that afternoon by anyone but if we're going to use it as an example lets attribute praise correctly

Well what a complete joke. Our third game of the season, he's not injured and still he is not on the bench. How is he not fit? I don't get it, it's precisely BECAUSE of the World Cup that he should be fit. Take Eriksen for example, who was not at the world cup. He would have started the season far less fit that those who were at the WC but yet he was available to play in that first game. Why has the world cup had this effect? And why were players who returned from it, deemed unfit?

Because the world cup players were allowed their 3 week holiday following their exit meaning they started training late. We are note unique look at Arsenal and their Germans or even Paulinho. We have a big squad, why rush him?
