That ITK was from someone who was not approved by the mods after countless asking.

More importantly he was WRONG! I wish people would stop slating our medical team. They do a quality service for our team, they are assesed and have to answer to the board as well.
The board would not have a medical team in place who was putting important assets at risk!

Our medical team are top proffesionals and each year improve there knowledge and always try to get new treatments to help our players.

So... is your daddy head of the medical team or something? How do you know so much about our medical team and why are you defending them with so much heart?

I cant agree with that mate, I respect your opinion but there is an issue at the club with either the medical team or fitness team

Well all i can say is the medical team is the same this year......

But our head coach and his support staff are new....

So this year should be better, with the new up to date training techniques ....

The fact you've put an 'either' in there says it all. It could as easily be training methods that are causing problems. We had this in another thread some while ago, with statistics from physioroom—Arsenal have been consistently the worst club for injuries, and Stoke (!) consistently one of the best. Spurs certainly don't have anything to scream about, but we fans simply don't have the information to be able to say why.

Its true we don't know who is the culprit but the managers have changed but the injuries have stayed which suggest that the fitness team may not totally be the culprits

Now poch's injury record at southampton was amazing however it was amazing before he got there and at Espanyol it was good minus the long term injuries.

Clearly there have been mistakes by the club and most likely the medical team
There were two options with the Dembele hip injury and we choose the wrong one! We went for manual treatment instead of injury, he now cant train after a game because his hip flares up

Kaboul, we cleared him to play when he clearly wasnt fit and then he teared his thigh because we tried to rush him back in april

Wilson Palacios we made him play the season we were in the CL with a knee injury, since then he hasn't been able to pass a medical at stoke or Qatar because of that knee injury

A personal hate of mine is that Kyle Walker has not had a rest for a good 3 years or so and every manager abused his fitness, he has played pretty much every game he was available for, in his first 2 seasons with us and then even last season played a large amount games before his hip injury. Little wonder he has been out for a while and yet despite that he has played 134 games for in that time

Now this maybe at the fault of the manager playing players that aren't fit but then again the medical team do need to grow a pair if they are so good

With the way it has worked before is the head coach and the player have the final say if he plays.

The medical team can say he isnt ready and could cause more damage if he plays and continues to play.
But if the head coach and the player want to play that game the medical staff in the past havnt had the final say.

And please excuse me, where have I commented on the validity of your info or your sources? And, most importantly, why do you feel like you need to show me how big is your cock? I couldn't give a fuck about your need of feeling important. Is me the one you're trying to convince or is it actually you?

So, does that mean that if nothing changes, it would be on the medical staff?

I am sure they are all professional, and do their best - but as with players and coaches, sometimes a person's best is not good enough. Now, I have no idea if that is the case here, but didn't we see a few cases last year where players went to their old clubs to rehab? Why would they do that? Or, why would we let them do that?

This did change. Under Ramos (and Jol for the first part of the season), we have the fewest mins of injuries, that increased under HR, then decreased in AVB's first season and increased in the AVB/Sherwood season.

In regards to Dembele, I remember reading ITK somewhere (could have been BS of course) that we wanted his to have Surgery but wouldn't.

In regards to Kaboul & Palacios, the medical team only make recommendations, the manager & player has final say.

You can't blame the medical team for managers over playing players like Walker.

It depends, if it the same players that get injured under the new coaching staff as did under the old, too much damage could have been done previously. If it is players getting frequent injuries, that previously had good records, then questions would need to be asked.

We have players going abroad to rehab and a player who wasnt feeling right, the medical team kept saying he was fine so he had to go to Baldini to get him a scan outside the medical team where it was found out he had a problem with his back.

Forgive me if I am wrong, but isnt the new training center supposed to be one of the best facilities in the world? Wouldnt we want out injured rehabbing there?

Its clear as day to me that there is an issue with our medical team. Thats just my own uninformed opinion I get from connecting the dots.

For a training ground, im sure we did say this (or something along those lines) when it was being built.

But i doubt we have better facilities than dedicated injury rehab clinics. Also players will go and see specialists if they need to, happens at most clubs.

Where did you hear that and who was the player?
