Hard to disagree with this...He's actually a converted winger. This article is worth a read: https://www.theguardian.com/footbal...-crystal-palace-interview-best-tackler-europe
The Guardian said:More striking still is the deflation he instils in opponents as those telescopicl legs – his nickname is ‘Spider’ – wrest back possession. And all this from a player – his nickname is “Spider”
Lads got great timing
Which he probably won’t- maybe if he has another good season and offers start rolling in but he’s only just established himselfNeed him to kick up a fuss
Aren't we at the mercy of the over priced UK market though, seeing as we're already light on home grown squad players and we seem to be trying to push Trippier out of the door?I dont see DL being mugged in the extremely over priced UK market. See Grealish, Zaha and AWB....
With all due respect, does it matter? Palace own the player, and don’t want to sell. Why should they feel compelled to accept an offer just because it’s what common consensus seems ‘good value’? An offer would need to be ridiculous to encourage them to sell, and fair play to them for that. That’s how I’d want us to act in that situation. No doubting his ability, and yes he's still young. But if the fee that Palace would seek is enough to scare City off, then that's just beyond crazy.
Okay, so he's English (Congolese descent), I get that there'll be an added premium to pay. But he's Only played 42 premier league games in 2 seasons, 35 of which came this season.
Of course Palace can charge what they like, but an astronomical fee doesn't hide the fact that the lad still has very little premier league experience and therefore is the fee actually a true reflection of his value.

Well, what if I want him to?Which he probably won’t- maybe if he has another good season and offers start rolling in but he’s only just established himself
Does annoy me when teams just overprice top English talent.
