No wonder you cant hear their fans signing their balls haven't dropped yet
Who is the bellend in the white hoodie. What an absolute tosser.
It is sad but that's the age we're living in. Everyone wants their little bit of fame even to the detriment of enjoying the experience. It's kinda funny seeing opposition fans get the rug pulled out from under them, but on a grumpy old man tack that would really live better in the What Is Grinding Your Gears? thread, I am really not a fan of these people who film themselves and their reactions whilst watching a live football game.
It's a similar kind of annoyance to my irritation at people filming on their phones at gigs (put the fucker away and just take in the experience happening right now in front of you!), but this filming one's self at football matches for vlogs/who-the-fuck-knows-what-else is somehow even worse because there's an element of narcissism in play.
Jumpers for goalposts, and all that malarkey...
Maybe because it wasn’t a penalty? We were pretty lucky that the VAR team didn't give a penalty against Lamela in the first half. I can't think of another more suitable word to use: soz.
Mate I thought the SAME THING about the Aguero goal!!! I said to my son “WHY IS NOBODY MENTIONING THE FACT THAT HE IS OFFSIDE?!?” They didn’t do the yellow-line-thingy, almost as if they were trying to cover it up! I don’t think it’s a conspiracy but wow- you would at LEAST reckon they would want to check it out! We frame-by-frame’d I and he was indeed offside!
We didn’t play the diamond mate.VAR rightly saved the day but we were very lucky to come away with a point. The performance today was terrible, the gulf in class was massive.
I’m really not sure what’s going on behind the scenes but we look lethargic and disjointed. IMO Pochettino didn’t get the team shape or tactics right for a second game in a row, this diamond formation continues to produce terrible performances
Everyone wants to be a meme or a reaction gif.It is sad but that's the age we're living in. Everyone wants their little bit of fame even to the detriment of enjoying the experience.
Not really. Most of it I wasn't able to follow. And when I see the phrase "all are entitled to their opinion", I rarely respond. It's a meaningless phrase.@davidmatzdorf care to weigh in here if you disagree. All are entitled to their opinion and i'm open to difference of opinion.

I think a clearer way to explain this is that the ball must be played forward for the offside rule to come into play. The trajectory of the ball to Aguero was slightly away from the goal. Therefore his position when it was played is irrelevant. He wasn't offside. He was behind the ball when it was played. No issue there.
Go back and watch it again, when the ball is played forward to deBruyne Aguero is offside and being offside he is ahead of Aderwiereld when he runs towards the goal and because he is offside and ahead of Alderwiereld he is in front of Alderwiereld when the ball comes across which is the reason he scored the goal. Now I don't know if that is now considered not offside with the change of the offside law but it always used to be and I think ought to at least raise the question. He wasn't offside. He was behind the ball when it was played. No issue there.
are you kidding me? Because he went public with it? Gazza really went off his game, as did George Best, Hand of god merchant. Depression really altered their state of mind within the game. Some of the most genius footballers within the game suffered. However, finances, contracts and agents can turn a players head. Not really. Most of it I wasn't able to follow. But the main reason I didn't respond is is because you start from a false and un-evidenced premise, which is that there is a "rot" in the team. I see no signs of any meaningful and new problems, other than the usual shit-stirring from journalists.
We've started a season with a win and a draw and we've scored 5 goals in 2 matches. We have some new players to accommodate. So far, so satisfying.
The fuss about Eriksen, Alderweireld and Rose does not interest me at all. They're highly professional and experienced. Only Rose, who has a history of depression, would be a candidate for letting his performance fall off when he has an uncertain future and he plainly has not done so.
It's a lot of fuss from chronic worry-warts about fuck-all. Let's just watch the football and draw conclusions from what we see, rather than third-hand stuff and rumours.

On the var decision I have just watched the MotD coverage again and when the corner came over the commentator actually said "LaPorte got something on it" before it went to Jesus and on the replay he said "LePorte flicked it on to Jesus" so however much they deny it he definitely thought the handball was decisive.
I am fine with him being behind the ball I know the rule but I get fed up with people always arguing the toss ove VAR and the Rodri dive yet don't question whether a case like this should be offside or not. It's not offside.
He isn't part of the play when the ball goes down the wing, and only becomes active when the ball is crossed in where he is inside.
I agree he gets an advantage from possible (I haven't looked to see that close) being in an offside position, but its the right call from the ref
But Poch’s implying there’s more than one which is the worry.
Nkoudu and aurier seem most likely. Not really a worry.

He definitely gets a crucial advantage from being in an offside position there is no doubt about that, he is active from the moment the ball is played forward and he starts running forward and had he been standing a foot from the goal line in front of Lloris and stayed there until deBruyne got to the byline people would have surely questioned it but his advantage was just as obvious. I don't doubt you are right and they've called it next phase of play but I question whether that situation should be and I think it's a legitimate question to ask.

Rose as you have said appears not to have been affected, nor has Toby. You must think i have something against Eriksen, i truly don't i just look at him from my own perspective as a former player.
So you don’t believe that professional players can underperform if they’re not sure about their futures? Eriksen in 2019 is a great example of where this has happened...
I also don’t buy the bedding in new players, almost all the PL managers will claim the stability of the team is a major strength as it’s pretty much the same set of players for a few years now. We have only one new player who has started games this season - it’s not like he’s thrown in 6 new players and they are getting used to the training etc.
If we had not defended well at all we would have lost by three goals a lot of their poor finishing was due to our defending and them not having quite the time to set themselves so they rushed it. Lloris pulled off some good saves but that wasn't luck that is what he's there for and our interceptions and blocks weren't lucky that is what our defenders are there for.
