The only problem with that argument is that Bong and Taarabt are transparently not ready; accepted SC wisdom appears to be that, although Kaboul has a long way to go, he's at least as good now as Dawson. You would, therefore, expect him to have been on the bench more than once in eight games.
I don't have any problem with the kid whatsoever; he's looked a good prospect. Nor do I have any great allegiance to Dawson, except that, like Lennon, he got wildly overrated in his first full season and is now getting more stick than he deserves. But if Ramos is sorting out his squad for next season, and current selections are any indication as to who's in favour and who isn't, then you've got to conclude that he sees more in Dawson.
