KWP excellent I thought, gone forward at the right times which is tricky when you’ve got Ronaldo to think about going the other way!

Obviously only pre-season, but some good stuff that first half against a very good and experienced Juve.

I thought all of the kids looked good, but Tanganga and Skipp were particularly excellent. Tanganga has great positional sense for such a young CB and looks very comfortable on the ball. Skipp meanwhile looked outstanding in that midfield. I don't know if they keep stats for this thing, but I'd love to know how many ball he won from the opposition when they tried to play, and then used the ball well too. I know some people see him as a bit functional and even boring, but I think he's a great prospect.

You can see why Pochettino apparently loves Parrott too. Works his arse off without the ball, and is surprisingly good at reading passes and getting a foot in if that half is anything to go by. Set up a couple of counter attacks simply by being really sharp in the press. Unlucky not too score too. Hard to believe he's 17. Good half.

Other than that, KWP looks ready to make that RB spot his own imo, and Winks looks to have added a long diagonal to a FB to his locker this pre-seaosn, which I don't think he did enough when he had the opportunity to do so last season. Son and Dele looked sharp. Yeah, decent half all round.

That was easy on the eyes, but i'm not getting carried away against a Juventus team that ran out of puff after 20 minutes.

If we do sign Lo Celso, i do worry about Dele if Lamela stays fit as well. The intensity of our attacking play completely dissipates when he is involved, i'm just not really too sure he adds any value unless he is playing off Kane, but then what does that do for the balance of our team. Interesting season ahead for him.

Nice to KWP at RB and not on the left, looks comfortable, Tanganga and Parrott don't look out of place at all. Excited to see how Troy develops as a forward and if he could make the step up this year off the bench and in a few cup games.

Oh and Skipp is looking very comfortable and composed, but he isn't under too much pressure really today.

I want to see Ndombele and Sissoko on. Tearing it up bash brothers style from the mighty ducks.

Per season is always difficult to measure. I think the real proof will come when we play Bayern as both teams should be up to speed. However this is all very promising. I hope some of these young guys can force their way into contention

I don't read ANYTHING into it, but still it's nice to see. Hopefully manage a strong second half too, although tough conditions I'm sure.

Providing we sign Lo Celso, add in the likes of Sissoko, TND, Winks and Skipp (based on today’s performance), I struggle to see where Dier gets any game time in CM if all stay fit.

Missed the first half as on holiday but it sounds like we’ve played really well against a strong juventus team.

Can anyone comment on the style of play? I'm not watching and I'd like to know if we're playing more of a full press like we used to?
Also are we building up slowly or is it more direct from the back or are we just moving the ball faster in the turnover?

poch the type of guy to still only sub at 70th min in preseason too

They’ll all be out running sprints at half time and he’ll want the starters to go longer than half time. The heat might be the difference today though.

Everyone has looked sharp. Tanganga has been very comfortable at the back, Parrott has had some excellent touches and his movement has been really good. Both full backs have played well.

We all know Poch loves preseason, I think our lack of a real preseason last year had much more of an effect on our season than realized. We’re going to be much sharper and have less of those flat performances we had last year.
I agree. We never really got going last season, most of the time it was our strong mentality that carried us through.

A proper preseason and a freshen up will hopefully give us a new life and energy to return to our 16/17 form....but better
