Very impressed with that. We looked full of energy! Thought KWP did well and he is making a good claim for the starting spot. Still worry a little about him defensively and his size.

Parrot looks a player. Reasonably quick, very clever runs and his shot prior to our goal showed he has a finish in him.

All very exciting!

Parrot has obviously been listening to what has been said to him by Poch in training and is repeating it all where it matters - impressive stuff from the lad!.
He is in my 5 bold predictions 19/20 to breakthrough and score in a competitive game so looking good!.
It’s only ore season but the performances from the younger lads have been very good

Please God, can you keep Lamela fit for a whole season please.

He's not the best player in our team, let alone the league, but there is just something about how he plays that i always enjoy.
He moves the ball quickly. We missed that second half of the season.

Having Winks, Lamela, Ndombele and Lo Celso as options is something to be seriously excited about.

Everyone has looked sharp. Tanganga has been very comfortable at the back, Parrott has had some excellent touches and his movement has been really good. Both full backs have played well.

We all know Poch loves preseason, I think our lack of a real preseason last year had much more of an effect on our season than realized. We’re going to be much sharper and have less of those flat performances we had last year.

Tanganga looks very comfortable passing with both feet and has done well so far. Showed some nice energy to intercept some passes into Emre Can. Think Poch can make him into a really solid defender.

He's looked like someone we've paid 50 million for. Very impressive.

Playing well but I’m not convinced with the formation would prefer more width
Given how fluid the formation looks, I'd hope that at times the front 2 could split out wide to provide width and we could morph into a 4-3-3 with someone like Alli slipping into the role of striker.

Apparently the American market found the black and white stripes too referee-ish.
Someone needs a slap if they’re using that rationale. Juve have 115+ year tradition and a brand built around the kit but decide to mess it up because they have such low expectations of Americans

Per season is always difficult to measure. I think the real proof will come when we play Bayern as both teams should be up to speed. However this is all very promising. I hope some of these young guys can force their way into contention

Very impressed. Our workrate for the first game is seriously high. Gives me so much hope that we'll be back to our second half of the season best.

The other takeaway I have is how aggressively we are attacking. Even when just moving the ball around it seems more purposeful than in last season.

Good 45 mins work out so far. Our lads as a collective look way sharper than the Juve lot do.

Particularly have liked the cm2 of Winks and Skipp - both have been busy and aggressive and totally dominated. Going through the rest of the team quickly, two centre backs have been solid, Tanganga has started to gain confidence as the half went on and done things like trusted his left foot etc. KWP very solid, Georgiou solid but lacking a bit of confidence I'd say. Lamela/Alli/Son had some good moments and look hungry for work, still don't like Alli playing deeper with more responsibility though...... And Parrott has showed a lot of promise, neat and tidy, put himself about and worked hard, and demonstrated that quality that you cant really teach - good footballing nous and seeing/doing the right thing at the right time.

Hopefully the second half team can continue the good work.
