Getting a bit fed up with all the anti AVB talk on here.

So if you're not liking the current set-up, the previous seasons record points total, the current best start to a PL, the solid foundation of the mean defence, who then is better?

I personally think we have the best manager we possible could have got after Redknapps sacking. Mourinho, Klopp, Guardiola will only ever manage one of the big clubs those that have the resources to match the potential.

We are lucky to have AVB, a lot of you don't seem to think so so here's your chance, be Levy, sack AVB tomorrow and who you gonna put in charge?..

There is no Anti-AVB talk, all we want is AVB with balls and to make the changes required to drive us forward and not work out of fear of losing.

I can handle a loss if our players can walk off that pitch with their heads held high.

So who do I want.... AVB with balls, is my answer.

I'm not "AVB OUT" but I guess i'm being called out here.

I'm in the camp that i'd rather see a good performance than a win. If we do make 4th by a couple of points and know that we are only there because of a series of dubious penalties against Palace, Hull etc, then the victory will would be a bit hollow. I know that makes me a minority, especially in this day and age.

Anyone that sets the team up to play the way the game is supposed to be played i.e. Laudrup.

AVB. But only if he drinks a bottle of whisky and does a massive line of coke before picking the teamsheet. It would be hillarious, he might do something crazy like pick some players who can pass

Well it worked pretty well for Sir Alex :D

I rate AVB very highly and think he's going nowhere, especially after the very compelling glimpses of what we're trying to do (and will do once gelled).
As this thread is pure, unadulterated fantasy I'd want either Frank de Boer or Tito Villanova (if he recovers)

72 points last season was the club record but it wasn't enough for top4 and I'm 99% neither will be this season. This is modern football, the gap between good and bad clubs is getting bigger and bigger so it's been expected to reach points records so please, people, stop telling about how AVB is our best manager in the history becouse of the points record and good start into the season. will you be happy if we end up with 75 points and finish 6th? for top4 we'll need something between 75-80 points I think. If we don't get them I think it will be very easy decision for Levy in summer ;)

There are a fuckton of managers who would have us roughly where we are in the league with the squad of players that we have. Including the Everton, Southampton managers who are doing exactly that.

That isnt an anti-AVB comment. Just a fact. He is performing adequately, no more no less. Deserves to be given the season.

You got some statistical evidence to back that up?

Not seen many saying they want him out.....

Hypothetically.... Klopp

But i am happy with AVB, just needs to sort out our final third play

Most people who I talk to, keep telling me that AVB is a top manager who we are lucky to have.
I agree with them.
If the scum were below us, we wouldn't even be having these arguments.

The facts are that occasional good performances don't win fuck all but winning games does that will always be more important to being a successful side.
But we need balance today's result was ok in keeping a clean sheet etc but at home and even today we need to create and score more.

We are joint 2nd, without the joint 2nd best squad. We are still in every cup. We are dominating our Europa League group.

AVB in.

De Boer, Klopp or Simeone (who will probably never come here).

Once he retires (he doesn't plan to manage for a long long time).
