Saw it but - how can something be all but done when the wages haven't been agreed, surely thats a big snag?
I didn't actually hear the interview but from what you guys have been saying it doesn't exactly sound really postive!

The thing that rankles with me is the fact that the little runt will probably be rewarded for his behaviour with a new contract when the TW shuts.
Surely this will cause other players to down tools in the hope of getting a new contract.

I used to think this too but he has been the most reliable ITK for the past two windows.
I remember last window Harry kept saying we're not close to signing anyone, nothing is happening, low and behold...

Salt is applied to ITK because people claim things to be done when they are clearly not. This I believe, is generally because they here genuine things from people connected with the club, who make it sound like a deal is very likely. Whether its the person who gave the information who wants the glory or the one who passed it on is difficult to tell, but everybody wants to feel like they know before someone else.
Unfortunately, I may be reading too much into Harry's language in the last couple of interviews, but it really does sound like he is digging at Levy - rather than demonstrating that something that is "done" can turn 180 degrees.

Harry does love to chat doesn't he, he seems to be either on TalkSport or Sky Sports every other day. Never known a manager to phone the media himself on such a frequent basis.
Would love to be sitting next to DL as the interview goes out!

Sorry I meant the whole interview didn't seem that positive, Deals hitting snags, Modric head not being in the right place, something about thinking we were going to sign Mata. If he said he is oncfident Adebayor will sign though thats much more positive!

By the way, he didn't say he was confident about the deal going through. Just the way he talked about it seemed pretty confident. :razz:

I just heard Arry on talk'neverbreakingnews'sport! Wow that mata deal? just shows how when u get told a deal is done by your source. it just does a 180 degree turn on ya! and the deals off!! So hope that when people say the ITK needs to put some salt on that i hope people consider this
And for everyone talking about what harry said about the Adebayor deal!
He said he spoke to Garry Cook about the deal at half time well tbh if it was hitting a snag like he said it was he wouldnt be telling the radio show beacuse that could upset city and break the deal! he would say somthing along the lines of
"I have no idea how that deal is doing the chairman handles the deals and sorts all that so i have no idea you will have to ask the chairman?"
but the fact he has said that
"It is all goin well just need to sort a few snags with wages"
Says to me that it is all done! Just needs to sort the last few things out but doesnt wana tell the press its all done beacuse then it will be all over the news he has signed before the OS gets the pleasure of having on there site announceing it first!

A contradiction in terms which sums up the salt throwing that you mentioned we should consider after listening to this interview. If there are a few things to still sort out, then it is NOT all done.

It seems to have gone unnoticed but the fact that we had agreed a deal for Mata 3 weeks shows us 2 things:
1) that we are after a wide player/attacking midfielder
and
2) we are prepared to pay a big fee (as his buyout clause was £23 million pounds iirc
A small positive surely in an overall negative interview.
