As RMY said recently: common sense. The burden of proof is prove he's moving away.

He's a Spurs player until proven otherwise. That's how I've always crawled through Transfer Windows.

the agent quotes sound pretty comprehensive, not like the usual lost in translation nonsense that often gets misinterpreted. so, if he's lying he should get sacked by berba or if the paper (SunSport) is making it up they should be sued. if it's true................

it never ends.....the press won't happy until every quality player is removed from any side outside the top 4. i am starting to hate football(the premiership).

The sad thing is we are not a million miles from the top 4. Look at our performances at OT, Anfield & the Emirates. Surely Berbatov can see that. If he hadn't sulked for 10 games we could be 4/5/6th now. I'm torn between wanting the club to make a stand and refuse to sell, whilst assuring Berbatov that we are fucking ambitious and there will be more quality arriving, and cashing in and getting rid of the moany **** and trying to get Kanoute back.

I am a realist. I know it's hard to keep hold of a player who wants to go and there is silly money on the table but Berbatov's don't come round very often and I can't help thinking if we could persuade him into at least one more season, add a couple of quality signings we could be really competing with the big boys with Ramos at the helm.

It's a fucker.

If it has to be United

Carrick, Brown & 10 million.

Followed by an unrefusable offer to Blackburn for Bentley.

If it's a deal with UTD we have to come out with the better end of it.

It will be a very sad day if we cant keep hold of berbatov, at least until the end of the season. What is the point for teams outside of man u, the scum, chelsea and liverpool competing in the league. There should just piss off and make their own league if all they do is brain wash any player outside the top 4 who is any good.

Man u and the chavs are the biggest fuckin culpruts taking saha from fulham when he looked good and carrick from us when he looked good and wright-phillips when he looked good and parker when he looked good and Sidwell when he looked good ect ect.

What Berbatov must realise or if he doesn't someone should ask him is what the hell has happened to those players careers since, apart from having a very healthy bank balance?

It was only a couple of months ago berbatov released a statement saying that he was happy at the club and that all the rumours were lies. However being a spurs fan u need to always look at the positives

If I was given a choice of David Villa and Huntelaar to replace Berbatov and Bent it might not be so bad

He's off then...but prob in the summer

If only we had brought the world class players we need last summer he wouldn't have needed to move

Ironically he's the only reason we could have got near the top 4 lately

The point is if we keep selling first Carrick then Berbatov however much money we get,we are taking 1 step forward and 2 steps back all the time.We are in a never ending cycle of close, but not quite close enough, because we don't have enough world class players to get into the top 4.

At least when carrick went we had the benefit of Berbatov,if he goes as well, are strike force will be 50% less potent and who are we gonna get that is better than him?

The answer is no one!!

Quite frankly what is the point in Berbatov signing a 4 year deal with Spurs, if he won't stick it out for longer than 18 months?not alot of integrity in that!!

Say he goes to Man Utd and they win the league again, is that really something Berba can look back and be proud of?They are likely to win the league, whether Berba is playing for them or not!

Can he then go away and say to himself, Man U wouldn't have won the league without me?of course they would berba they do most years in recent history!

Surely staying and helping Spurs win Trophies and becoming a world class force again, would have far more personal reward, than contributing to a team, that would still win the league weather you were there or not! Where's the satisfaction in that? How can that make you proud to call yourself a great footballer and a great man?

Of course i'm saying this from a selfish point of view as a spurs fan,but Berba should honour what he signed in July 2006. contract runs from July 2006 to July 2010!! not to January or May 2008!!

Could all be just more agent speak or his agent being misquoted just like his father was earlier in the season.

Besides, he has one game per season where he puts in anything resembling 100%, last season it was Bolton, this season it was Reading, we're not going to see another 100% game from him until this time next year, is that really worth turning down 30million for?

only way i can see us breaking into the top 4 is if we build a good team(like everton). we aren't allowed to have star players...they'll only get taken away from us in the end. depressing.
