"I have already spoken to the Tottenham chairman, Daniel Levy, and told him that if a club that corresponds to Dimitar's class and ambition comes in with an offer that suits his current club in January he would like to be allowed to go," Emil Dantchev told the Sun.
"Fans must understand that Dimitar is 27 next month and time is running out for him to play for a club that can match his ambition. "

That is the key bit. What offer suits us? £40 mill, we would do it.

Berba is simply a magnificent player and as much as it pains me to say it he is not going to sign a new contract and from this summer onwards as his contract runs down so will his value, and all this speculation is in my opinion damaging to the team.

I think we should try and do a deal now that will see Berba join Real or AC in the Summer.

What we must insist on to Berba and Dantchev is that under no circumstances will he be sold to another English club and we want a caveat in any sales contract excluding joining another English team for a set period of time.

Lets get our 25-30 million and arm ourselves and Ramos/Comolli with a huge warcchest this summer to sign quality players that want to be at the club and play for Ramos.

that's another thing though, at what point does Berba, agent et al say " well Spurs only paid £10.9M and we feel the £15M Man U have offered plus Nicky Butt (who they have recalled on a shitnicality clause) is an exceptional offer and we are complaining to FIfa and the UN that Berba is being held against his will which contravines the Human rights act 157 section 7.2 clause 6.

i wouldn't put it past these greedy agent bastards

the agent's real quote should be "the Cash Cow (Berba) is coming to the end of his massive sell on value shelf life, so i want my 10% of £25M then F*** all you eenglisshh pig dogs, i take my cash back to Bulgar where we live like kings on Rich tea biscuits and Nesquik "

(i think i'm losing it )

He can't play the Berbatov role. Spurs would need a link up man in his mould. Much of the attacking play goes through the Bulgarian. Villa is just a goal poacher.

I think Roque Santa Cruz would be an adequate replacement, not quite as mobile or skilful but certainly got some similar attributes, (and a rather good lookin' chap; if you like that kind of thing )

I think you are losing it! We have his registration, he is paid to play football for Spurs, we are not stopping him doing his job. The only option (I think) is for him to buy out his contract and move on (but I think the player has to be a little older to do that).

We should spy on Berbatov and if he talks to another club take them to the cleaners.

Stay or go, he'll still be a Spurs legend. Long live Berba.

Just another agent talking his mouth off, nothing more than that

With all due respect, the only Bulgarian whose words I care about is a certain man called Dimitar Berbatov, not his agent, his dad, his mother, or some server in McDonalds.

Until Dimitar comes out and says he wants to leave, until he no longer wears the shirt, he'll get the support he deserves from me. Roll on the end of the transfer window so we can put this to rest, well until the next window opens.

Berbatov is Liverpool bound IMO, and his tramnsfer fee will be bigger than Torres'.

wait you mean the club who cant afford the 17mill fee for Javier Mascherano? They're gonna stump up 25mill+ for Berba? No chance.

club that matches his ambition, a club thats going places and gonna win trophies, can only be Newcastle!!

I thort about this logically today, we WILL NOT sell to the prem. But with Ronaldo off at Milan, if they or say Madrid make a bid, I think it could be curtains.

I hope he stays though, ut expect a widnow full of this shit

Sucks for us though, for the rest of the season at least. I don't like the sound of Keane/Bent, Defoe/Bent or Defoe/Keane. Time for Pekhart, methinks.
