It's not looking good is it. Just seen Sky report. His agent is a ****. He's not thinking of his client - who would not be guaranteed football at any club like Real Madrid, Barca etc. and in all reality would not be a regular for any of those.

I imagine when Levy told the agent that Berbatov wouldn't be moving in January the agent thought "I'll make the situation untenable by telling the world Berbatov wants out" Throwing in the bigger, more ambitious club for good measure. ****. Burn the bridges good and proper.

I realy hope we tell him he's not going in January. Fuck him. Poncey fucking "too good for us" ****. We need to make a stand at some point or every wanker will think they can take the piss.

****. bollocks.*

* I'm taking this well aren't I.

I think this is exactly the type of response his agent is hoping for, hoping that the fans who love Berba will turn on him, leaving him no reason to stay.

until I hear the words come from Berba's mouth and he is still doing the biz' on the pitch I'll support him and any other Yiddo

as I posted on another thread, listen to "The Game" podcast with Berbatov´s "discoverer":

Interesting that the scout who discovered him for Bayer Leverkeusen says that it´s very possible that Berbatov´s agent has been misquoted, that it´s not their style to stir up trouble. He also opines that Berbs is happy and scoring goals and should stay at least till the end of the season. Finally, he said that it´s Berbs´ dream to play for Barcelona.

I would not begrudge Berba another season and then a big money move to Barcelona.

Yup , Berbs MUST say something to smooth this over in the next 24 hrs or I fear the worst .

Think about it , Berbs could have a CL Winner medal within 4 months if he goes now . How tempted would anyone be as a player in this situation ?.....the trebling of his wages won't hurt ,a winger who actually knows how to cross the fucking ball . Someone who knows how to take a looping free kick .

From what I've heard from Berbs himself , its the prospect of playing together with the best players in the world that is the REAL attraction . He loves artistry and superb goals .

If we boo him today he's DEFINITELY history

Oh yeah forgot to mention....35 mill please

I wish people would stop calling him a 'Bulgarian >insert expletive<'. Not only are you embarrassing us all with your short-sightedness and idiocy, but you're coming across as racist pricks as well.

I'd have Ginola over Berba, but Berba is a footballing genius.

My only thought on this right now (as I am just trying to shy away from it a bit) is what a shere lack of disrespect this has shown the club and the fans.

Berba hasn't once spoken for himself, he has dodged direct questions pertaining to his future and now that his agent has said he wants to go, it's obvious that that can only have come from Berba - otherwise he would have issued a statement. If he feels that way about the club, and I say if as I still hope he'll come out and say it's all wrong, then we shouldn't want him to stay.

For anyone in the footballing world to say that we have no ambition is immensley inaccurante. We are a club spending big, buying big and progressing. If Berba stays, he should sack his agent for being so damn out of line! Fair enough, he could say Berba is available, make it known through the channels available, make it known without having to slag off our club. We've had a knock in the league but evidently we're looking better now. We potentially have 3 cups with our name on them (realistically we should at least win one) and Berba should give it till the end of the season.

I can only imagine this is very negative for the other players. Keano for one looks up to Berba, you can see how much he adores him and if Berba's attitude is that we have no ambition and aren't a big club so he's off, I worry that it could alter the mind set of other players.

I would rather players at our club who WANT to be there, who play for the team and not for themselves, and who show some respect! If, again I say if as there are no quotes from Berba, but if he does feel so bad and so badly wants to go - let's get a shedload of cash and do what he have to do.

At the end of the day, no one man is bigger than the club and I'm still hoping Berba comes out and says how much he loves it here. He certainly looks happy warming up and training. He only seems unhappy when he isn't getting the service or playing well which is fair enough. Agents have way too much say in football, take them out the equasion - they make big money on transfers and that's where their priorities lie, not with the happyness of the players. Players are too influenced by money and their agents as Alex Ferguson said earlier this week!
