Any appointment must come with the endorsement of the manager. If Levy forces an appointment without the managers input and agreement then it will fail.
Hell yes.
All the people I'd like to see take over this summer (Andre Villas-Boas, Didier Deschamps, Jurgen Klopp, Louis van Gaal, hell even Mourinho) work under a DoF system:
Reinaldo Teles (Porto)
Jose Anigo (Marseille)
Michael Zorc (Dortmund)
Christian Nerlinger (Bayern)
Jorge Valdano (Madrid)
As well as Txiki Begiristain, Franco Baldini and Jorge Valdano (if Mourinho stays) might be other good options for us.
Just a thought. Villas-Boas and Baldini recently met. La Gazzetta Dello Sport thought it was to discuss the pair of them taking over Roma.
Perhaps though it's Levy who has been busy assembling this dream team
Baldini, like Villas-Boas, has links with London and would be popular with the likes of Dawson, Hudd and Lennon (he's known as one of Capello's 'good cops' in the England setup).

Alternatively Levy appoints a DoF and he then hires a manager.....
Like Arnesen and Santini?
Who knows what goes on in the head of Daniel Levy...
