Just having him on free kicks alone would be an improvement on what we currently have

Short memories, I guess, but his conversion rate went diabolic for free kicks. His last free kick goal was December 2019, which was over a year before he left us.
Scored two in one game in 2015/16, but then went on for a consistent one-per-season.

Since 2017, his conversion rate was 5.7% (ref: https://www.90min.com/in/posts/rank...to-their-free-kick-conversion-rate-since-2017)

I think the general idea is that anyone but Kane would be an improvement on free-kicks, statistically, with little other candidates being given a chance.

I'm all aboard the Eriksen and Bale on a free train. You have £100m to fix 4 positions, you can get 4 £25m players or you can get Eriksen, Bale and 2 £50m players. I know which option I'm taking.

Wages complicated the maths a little but the principle remains.
Free transfers for Bale, Eriksen, Kessie, Dybala, Rüdiger and Modrić then spend the £100m to convert the golden cockerel into a champagne cannon for goal celebrations

Managed a very good one in the cup last time with us (was it against marine?)

We are talking about replacing Kane as freekick taker so the bar is pretty low.

Talk of him making his league debut for Brentford against Newcastle today.

Hope all goes well for him today and in the future.

Really nice to see him come on, received an ovation from Brentford and Newcastle fans as well as the Newcastle players (the ones I could see) on the pitch. Hopefully he'll receive a great reception from our fans when we travel to their ground too.

Just seen MOTD and was great to see a beautiful "Eriksen" pass when he came on. Such a fantastic player to see when he is doing what he does.

He should take advantage of all this love. If I came home and caught him in bed with my missus, I’d be about to clock him one and when I realise it’s Eriksen, I’d help guide it in and give him a friendly pat on the back for good measure.
