It's been so long since I have been able to follow the Bundesliga, but the first Friday match after the break typically produces a shock, doesn't it?

Fucking great day for me as both Spurs and Hamburg upset local rivals in crucial home games. Fantastic.

Dortmund finally did something they were capable of, which I appreciated since I don't want to see Dortmund go down but do want to see Freiburg go down.

Wolsburg just won 5-4 at Leverkusen with the last kick of the game! Dost with 4 goals and Son with 3.

Oh and Bayern won 8-0...

Another win for Dortmund, European places might not be beyond them if they can keep some form for the rest of the season, and ouch for Hamburg! VdV played :/

An 8-0 (admittedly to Bayern) and a 4-5 today. Wish I had easier access to some Bundesliga games!

Hamburg's recent history against Bayern is, well, hilarious to be honest.

Since 2011:

Bayern 8-0 HSV

HSV 0-0 Bayern

HSV 1-4 Bayern

Bayern 3-1 HSV

Bayern 9-2 HSV

HSV 0-3 Bayern

HSV 1-1 Bayern

Bayern 5-0 HSV

Bayern 6-0 HSV

Total: Bayern 39 - 5 HSV

Interesting article about the Premier League TV deal and it's potential impact on the Bundesliga.

You're right it is an interesting read. I guess being British and having got used to Premier League football across Saturday, Sunday and Monday (And Friday night games as of the 16/17 season) I don't really see what the problem with the Bundesliga shuffling the schedule to allow for them to get a better TV deal.

Same. Can't wait for the TV deal to start here in the States which does next season. Very exciting league.

Hamburg stupidly went into the match at the Allianz in a 4-4-2 with Rafa and a 1.6 m Chilean in the middle two. I should have woken up, seen that lineup, and just gone back to bed. Took until Robben's screamer for the third for me to finally give up and go back to bed. Hamburg also laughably reverted back to a 4-2-3-1 (the same formation which won them their previous two games) after going behind 2-0.

Pulling my fucking hair out as Hamburg absolutely deserved that win. Beyond galling.

Wolfsburg win again, they won't catch Bayern obviously but they look like a shoe in for a CL spot next season and have built up quite a talented and balanced side in most positions.

Bas Dost = 12 goals in his last 7 games is on fire. I imagine he'll be called up for the first time with Netherlands in their next fixture.
