A couple of Chelsea fans have wrote that Willian has been their second best player this season behind Eden.

I wish we had both ...completely different players.

As for the stats....it would be good to see a breakdown on those stats, who the goals/assists were against and the calibre of the oppostioin they both scored against?

Bullet dodged mi culo... I've seen plenty of him for Chelsea and he is always putting in good performances. Would have been much better than Sigurdsson and Chadli on our left. Has a rare mix of work rate and flair.

So while watching Eriksen play incredibly well YET AGAIN yesterday, it occurred to me that actually, he was BACK-UP to Willian (FACT).

So I thought that I'd compare the two this season for their respective clubs (I could only find stats for Europe and PL)

Eriksen: 9 Goals, 8 Assists
Willian: 3 goals, 3 Assists

So, Willian, who is in a better team that scores tons of more goals than us and is surrounded by better players has managed 6 less goals and 5 less assists.

Let's remind ourselves again. We could have signed Willian for £30 million but because he, Mourinho, Abramovich and Chelsea are massive ****s, we ended up with Eriksen for £11.5million.

WOW! Thank FUCK for that. We've signed a better player for much less money and with the potential to be lightyears ahead than Willian when he turns 25 (Willian's age)

So, thank you Chelsea, for taking Willian instead of us. We will be truly grateful when he turns into a world-class player for us in the next few years (and sell him to Madrid for £100million and buy 13 new players in Sherwood's second reign)

Can anyone truly say that they are still angry that Chelsea bought Willian and we "only" got Eriksen?

BULLET. DODGED.

Not decrying Ericksen but in fact it's easier for him to stand out for us than it is for Willian at Chelscum.

Well that's clearly bollocks....they can only communicate through a series of grunts....with the occasional hiss thrown in when they see a Spurs fan.

Whatever the story is, I still don't understand how we got Eriksen at such a low price, considering that he was hardly and unknown quantity, but rather was quite highly touted as one of the next big things. So why his price was so low is a bit mysterious to me.

William or not, Levy would always have snapped him up at that price, regardless of whether he was needed or not...any one can see that his value is likely to go up.

But like everyone at the moment I've extremely glad we've got him (for a few years...). Hopefully the team will be build around him.

Would be happy to have William too, though.

he only had a year left on his contract

Willian would have been a great addition to the squad.

For me Eriksen will become the better all around player, but it was hardly a bullet dodged. Especially as we may have signed both

Willian has been putting in a fair few Man of the Match performances recently.

what are you smoking man? :D

Willian has been excellent for Chelsea, don't you think?

Lamela hasn't had much of a chance to settle with us but I've been bitterly disappointed with what I've seen of him. People seem to be forgetting just how limp his performances were earlier in the season.

I was really excited when we signed him 8 months ago and I'll be rooting for him next season, but as things stand Willian looks like the better buy.
