What's wrong with that? If we can't do it on a Spurs Forum, where can we do it?

Well he doesn't run around like a headless chicken like Rooney does, but does that make Berbs a lesser player?

He's a different type of player, that's all. It depends what qualities you appreciate more.

IMO Berbs needs to become a much more consistent finisher. He creates alot of chances, but also misses quite a few.

As for the opening poster's comments:
If you'd seen Hoddle play at the Lane, you wouldn't think about never seeing as skillful a player as Henry playing for us. We are a club known for skillfull players, right down the decades. Ginola won the Player of the Year during the GG era, some scoffed, but it was well deserved. I know you already know all this, but I felt the need to say it after reading your post.

Agree with all your points. I do appreciate Rooney's 'running like a headless chicken' - i think he has better defensive qualities, which is an added bonus.

As for the 'is Ledly King a world-class defender' question - he's my opinion:

All hands agree King's a good defender. Rarely makes mistakes, has the physique, skills etc.

Trouble is he wouldn't be world-class simply for the number of games he misses. This is not his fault but someone who plays 20 games a season cannot be world-class.

Only players like C.Ronaldo, Henry, Gerrard etc can be considered world-class - players who consistently perform superbly in the league. Always making the difference.
