O/T but did you get your problems in the US sorted out? I ask because I'm currently having a few visa issue's myself.

Sorted and I won the trial which is a miracle as they don't often lose. Filed for a 10yr extension in January which should be approved within 12 months.

They looking to deport you too?

Although Barca signed Ronaldinho from PSG, and they've been shit for ages...

He did reject Man Yoo though. Thats irrelevant anyway im just saying if a club like Meeeelan or Real Madrid miss out on the CL it is not the end of the world as they are the biggest names in world football so will always attract the best players. I cant see Milan paying out big money for Berba anyway, they are tighter than tight these days, they will spend money this summer obviously, they have to turn around an ageing side but £25mill plus on one player which is what they were quoted for Ronaldinho, might put them off. I think they would be more likely to hijack Juve's Amauri's bid as they has been dragging on for the last couple of months.

The Italian gypsy situation needs a thread of its own. Proportionally they (the gypsies) do a whole lot more of the crime and leave people too scared to leave their homes etc. It's not a one way argument being the point I'm making. The incident where their homes were burnt down was an IMO OTT revenge for one gypsy girl caught in the act of stealing another womans baby in her own home.

How fond are Briton's of their own gypsy population? I would think 68% would vote to expel them too...

I'd rather have them burned alive actually. At least there would be no more fucking fun fairs at my park every summer

No, but I'm concerned as I've exceeded the 3 month limit on a travel visa and I have to be able to get in and out of the country a couple of times in the next month. Also I'm applying for a 6 month work visa and am concerned that if for some reason I get stopped by the police or something like that and they discover I'm in the country without a current visa, it could effect my application. I've asked various people and keep getting contrary advice. Some have told me it won't be a big deal, as though I am working in the US, I'm not getting paid there, so in effect I'd just be a tourist who has out stayed his welcome.

As far as I know if you outstay your visa waiver period of three months they can (after 12 months) ban you from re-entering the country for 10yrs.

There's a website britsinus.com (I think it's called) that has visa advice etc on it. I looked around it once or twice some time ago and got some good info.

Shit, I wanted Fiorentina to not qualify for the CL, as they have a couple of players (Frey and Gamberini) that I think would be good signings for us.
I really like Frey but the one guy I would love us to buy is Riccardo Montolivo - super player!

I've noticed, you mention him whenever the chance arises:)! The guys who present the soccer phone in show on Fox (basically the US version of Your On SkySports) really rate him as well. To be honest I've not really noticed him too much, but don't really pay too much attention when Italian football is on, which is every single day. Frey, Gamberini, Donandel and Mutu have all stood out for me, but I guess it just depends on which games you've caught and how closely you watched them.

Joey - I don't watch a great deal of Serie A but I do watch a lot of European games,Champions league and UEFA cup!
I always watch how well players perform especially against the British teams.
Everytime I have watched Fiorentina games this lad has stood out and he really reminds me of Hoddle/Carrick type of player!
The next time you get a chance - keep an eye on him!

Fiorentina usually play with a midfield three that consist of:

Liverani----Donadel----Montolivo

Liverani is in charge of spreading the ball and setting the tempo.

Donadel is the holding midfielder who can distribute the ball nicely aswell.

Montolivo is a hardworking playmaker that has more freedom to go forward and make late runs into the box and likes to shoot from deep positions (has a powerful strike). He should eventually become an important player for the Italian national team. Montolivo has some attributes in his game/physique similar to Pirlo, except with more steel at the expense of passing technique (which Pirlo excels at like no other)

Also joey, I recommend you watch some games of the italian U-21 team because there is a massive pool of talent there with the likes of Montolivo, G.Rossi, Abate, Marchisio, Chiellini, Cigarini and especially Giovinco.

I actually thought the Italians looked really good at the U21s in the summer. They only went out because team like England had more athletic players (ie Lita), but in the long run technical ability is far more important and the Italians were much stronger in that department. The Dutch were similar to the English in that they did well because of more physical players like Babel and Rigters. But these players always look much better than they really are when playing at U21 level. Liverpool fans are now saying the same stuff about Babel having "potential" and that he will a good player in the future, that the Ajax fans said for the previous 4 years. Rigters doesn't get anywhere near the Blackburn team. Lita can't even get in the Reading side. Yet the Portuguese and Italian stars seem to be making real progress.

Did Montolivio play then? I remember Aquilani for his goals, Rossina because of his left foot and bald head and Chiellini. There was an Italian with quite long hair the commentators really liked and I think that might have been him.

Milan will be a strong team next year as I think they will bring in alot of players due to their aging squad, it's a shame they never made the CL now they have missed out on Amauri. I think Serie A will be really strong next season, this season was good but only towards the latter stages. Next year I see Juve, Roma, and Milan mounting a stronger challenge and Fiorntina will be challenging the top 4 again. Will be exciting.
