THE KING: “I can’t give too much away at the moment as to who will be involved - but I can say there will be some real legends of Tottenham – players that have been supported well throughout their time at the club and there are some real fan favourites in there.”
I can't believe it.... He's bringing me back Anthony Gardner!

Robbo, Woodgate and Davids will be nailed on I would say as will be Ginola, Freund and Ferdinand.

Would like to believe that VDV and Modders would return but both very unlikely given their impending international committments. Bale? Too soon I suspect..

I remember ledley being on the Fantasy football club and picking his best XI which would probably hold some answers.

Who did he pick for his best XI?

As long as the Ginger Pele plays I'm there. I might even record the match so I can show my grandson in 20+ years time that yes, players like Doherty & Booth did once play for Spurs.

This better be televised, Daniel. You better fucking get this on TV and therefore streamed to me in the states, Levy.

I can't see this being televised. As things stand, this is going to be the only DVD the club can release this year and so Danny won't be doing anything to harm sales of it...

Robbo, Freund, Sir Les, Wooders, Ginola, Teddy, Keano, and i reckon there's a high chance we'll see the likes of Super-Ed (local), Digger (retired last year) & "Shimbomba" back too (though now Pascal's got a contract with Carlisle it's less likely). And as i type, i wonder if the likes of Gus & Klinsmann would take some time out of their managerial dailies to have a kick about? Hey, would i be pushing my luck to wonder if the Ginger Pele would make an appearance too?

Possibly Jamie Redknapp as well, unfortunately, as he was club captain for some of Ledders career.

Who did he pick for his best XI?

A good question and for the life of me I can't remember! There were some England folk in there too but I'm pretty sure Woodgate was in there. I have tried to find it on the web but no joy. Back to the drawing board then!

Hoddle might well play I reckon. Redknapp is a cert too. I've got my final assessment on the 12th, hopefully I can get it submitted in time to make it, really want to see this.

Shame about the timing. I'd love to go to this. It will also be the closest any of our first team will ever get to a 'Spurs Legends' side.

What are the chances of this being shown on t'interwebs? I would love to be there in person but I'm a hermit residing on the other side of the Irish Sea

Not sure if its been said, but the majority of our first team wont be playing, Bale, Modric either as Spurs and Real play on the 11th.

VDV has a chance, the bundesliga finishes on the 10th.

I get the impression they haven't disclosed who will be in Ledley's team yet because it'll just be full of retired players, and feel that Ledley alone isnt a big enough draw.

It is for me, i dont want Bale or VDV to be there, the night belongs to Ledley.

I have my tickets
It will be the most enjoyable game of the season
I think they have under priced the tickets if the money is going to Ledley

Completely agree with the first part.
I must say though I'm not sure about the second - I'm all for a great night at the lane and a chance for fans to give him a great send off etc but with the money that players earn in the modern era I'm not sure they should be making out if it - isn't the done thing these days to donate the proceeds to charity?

It's a game for plenty of good causes and I'm sure if they're able to (ie their clubs allow it) Modric, VDV and Bale may play a part. If only small cameos to save from injuries. Imagine seeing Berbatov, Bale, VDV and Modric all line up together. Seeing would could've been if we had a proper striker with those 3 behind.

Bought my ticket and I cannot wait. Whoever the King XI is it's going to be an emotional night.
