I actually think Lennon has great technique.
First...i like Lennon and think he might have a bright future.....BUT technique is one thing he doesn't have. He uses speed and speed only........doesn't have to be bad if he can develop his final touch and passing.

oh comeon mich, he may not have striking ball technique (yet), but he seems to have good movement not just speed, and reasonably quick feet.

I would definately sell him for 16mil, i would happily sell him for 12mil aswell....
he was a hot prospect, but hasn't lived up to the expectations of him. im sure he can prove his talent else where...

Cant believe this thread is still going. Although he did have a pretty good second half on Wed. Taking that into acount we could prob now get 4 million for him!

One of the problems we are going to have breaking into the top four is convincing genuine quality players to join us when they become available. It'd be suicide to sell our first team players especially one as young as Lennon. He may not have developed as much as we would have liked but he adds a good dimension to our play and his potential is huge. Look at SWP a lot of people were starting to write him off and he now appears regularly for England, Lennon I think could follow in his footsteps especially as he get more first choice opportunities.

I think Lennon would benefit a lot if he had more competition for his place, if we can sign a player like Bentley or Arshavin in the summer (no idea how realistic this is) then Lennon will have to up his game if he wants to play regular football.

I dont think I would want to see him go but for 16mill we would have to consider it.

But having said that he is one of the most entertaining players at the club at the moment and when he does actually decide to run at the full back it is usually when we look as a team at our most dangerous.

But over the summer we need to teach him to kick a football. Im pretty sure I can get a better connection than Lennon can. And Im shit :p

I believe his problem is not any lack of technique (from what I have seen of him he has good technique) but his poor delivery from out wide, which I think he can improve with experience.

As an example of good technique I would cite his goal against Chelsea last season. Wonderful first touch and then great finish. Keeping the ball close to you while running at speed requires considerable technique so I simply can't agree that he "uses speed and speed only".

Anybody who watched Spurs vs Pompey can tell what Aaron Lennon's problem is (final delivery). His delivery has to improve we all know that but it's not a reason we should sell him, every other part of his game is quite good, Lennon like I've mentioned before needs more specialized training.

I'm sure with age he'll improve delivery, I can remember the same things were said of Giggs when he first burst on the scene.

FUCK he was shocking today.

But he could still be a good winger if they taught him to kick a football

well he's never practiced kicking with his left foot so why should he be practicing crosses? Beckham became the master free-kicker by practicing and practicing and practicing! if Lennon is putting the work in in training, then he just hasn't got it at this level and he'll be sold. very simple!!!!
