Complete team performance, excellent result, need to use this as a springboard for the weekend
I thought he had a good cameo in CMRose MOTM just to piss everyone off.
Played a lovely ball through to Davies I think it wasI thought he had a good cameo in CM
ITK says he's still running in the dressing roomSissoko 9 - HOW WAS HE STILL GOING
Pretty clear that Winks wasn’t fully fit really. Hope the setback isn’t too long.I though that while our tactic was right in the circumstances, in the first half hour Dortmund produced the best football I’ve seen from an opponent this season and, bar some great saves and brave last ditch defending, the score could have been level on aggregate.
Then we grew into it, Dortmund predictably couldn’t continue at that pace, and we enjoyed better possession, both in quantity and quality. This continued after half time and once we scored, it was an easy game to see out.
Lloris was exceptional, deserved MOTM with some routine saves, some out of this world saves.
Alderweireld was ok, some erratic passes but quite reliable defensively and aerially.
Sanchez used his pace well and read most thing that came towards him.
Aurier was ok, erratic at first but improved as the game wore on. That foul through though...
Davies was solid, he gave us some width going forward and tucked in nicely when defending.
Sissoko started unimpressively but improved and started steamrolling the entire opposition single handedly. Love weight on the assist.
Winks was ok, looked a bit off the pace to me though he did try hard and had some nice moments moving the ball on.
Eriksen knitted most things together, roaming the pitch nicely and dictating our play.
Son was erratic but I noticed and his runs hurt Dortmund more as the game wore on.
Kane grew into the game, played some nice passes and scored a great goal with his only real chance.
