Just watched the highlights of Evan's game. Playing really good stuff, especially in and around the net.

Konta has been ruthless so far. She's now won 16 straight sets and in only two of those has her opponent got to 5 games.

Just seen the Murray result. Not seen the game yet but sounds as though Zverev managed to consistently hit through him.

Fed / Nishikori is shaping up well as Fed has pulled back the first set from 1-5 down back to lead 6-5 and is completely bossing it at the moment

At one set all and Murray a break of serve down Skybet were still offering 4/1 on Zverev to win, an offer which I gleefully climbed into :D

Venus v. Serena and Rog v. Rafa (?)

It's like turning the clock back best part of 10 years.

I wonder if my hair will turn black again ...

Awesome achievement from Fed (and Venus in the ladies).

I didn't think he'd have the legs to beat Stan in 5 and when he lost that 2-0 lead my money was on Stan to finish him off but he dug in just like true champions do.

I fancy Rafa to beat Dimitrov in the other semi. Dimitrov has a lot of ability but has always lacked that crucial bit of belief in the later stages. Saying that he has made a good start to this season picking up his first ATP title since 2014 in the build up to the Aus Open.

Venus was so happy; it was brilliant.

Like you I can't see Dimitrov beating Rafa, though he's been playing well so far. You just get that feeling, don't you, that when push comes to shove ...

I would love Fed to win it but Rafa has the psychological edge when they play. Could be the last grand slam final between these two greats.

What...A...Final!

The tension and drama was incredible at times. With the end result I most wanted. But hats off to both of these absolute legends.

I don't think we'll ever see Rog v Rafa in a slam final again. But then I didn't think we'd see it today either!

Not the best they've played, but great match.

Well done Roger. Now 4 majors ahead of Rafa ...

To have that desire at 35 after winning so much is phenominal.

Feel bad for rafa but hopefully he can get up amongst the top 4 again and put his injuries behind cos at 30 he still has a little more time.

Well, GB just beat Canada but the big story is how...

17yr old jnr #2 in the world just smashed a ball straight into the umpires face after being broken in the 3rd set :wideyed:

Not intentional but looks brutal as he really smashed it and hit him square in the eye.

Tim Henman anyone ...?

It's a shame that it had to happen to Shapovalov on such a big stage.

I stopped watching when Edmund won the 2nd set, but he was going to win anyway. Especially when Shapovalov's forehand was going so badly that when he aimed for outer space he hit an umpire 10 feet off the ground!

Can hardly compare Henmans incident with this.

Hitting a ball towards the back of the court but accidentally hitting a ball girl who's running across the net is very different from smashing a ball out of the court in anger and hitting a static umpire in the face

Certainly not intentional, but stupid and reckless anyway to hit a ball that hard off the court. The umpire could have been blinded.

Okay, we lost the important game of the day, but on the bright side (for me) Zverev beat Jo-Wilfred in Montpellier. Top 10 by year end? Could happen ...

Edit: And beats Gasquet in the final today. Go Sascha!

So who is going to be world #1 at the end of this year?

Murray seems to be struggling, Djokovic isn't convincing ...

Federer? Nadal? Thiem perhaps?

Nadal is in great form so far on Clay and if he can carry that into the French and stay injury free then he's going to be close.

Can't see Thiem breaking into the top four yet but he's certainly one of the contenders when age finally catches up with Fed/Nadal.

Going to be one of the tightest run races for #1 in years as Djoko & Murray are both struggling with injury and Fed/Nadal have been sharing the big tournaments between each other so far.
