You do realise you’re backing a guy who can’t reset after a session break and can’t convert 50s into 100s, right?

Ok this is gone too far - Im pretending like I know cricket and im so not a connoisseur of cricket... I enjoy cricket though but think Root will come good. His back is to the wall and he knows it.

Doing well thus far but im sure we will collapse at some point

This is the most disciplined batting ive seen from us this series...other than Denly's penchant for wide full deliveries!
(edit I mean as a duo)

I actually think Denly's appetite for self-destruction has been calmed by his run in the side and he feels wanted :cat:

Had 26 and 30 last test then top scored in the first innings. Improving.

He has a bit of the vinces’s about him, looks a million dollars then gets out for 20/30. Played very well today so far hope he goes on to get a big one

Root is usually so, so bad at resetting after a session break. If he lasts longer then 3 overs after tea, I’ll be pleasantly surprised.

Fair play to Root (and Denly), it's taken three test matches and is too little too late but still, I'm in here criticising him quick enough so it's only fair to give credit where it's due. But only a smidgin of credit :cautious:

I thought I was negative ?.
I hope you are not alone today when the inevitable collapse happens.
If anyone knows Sargent meat curtains (never though I’d type that) please go see him and take all the sharp objects away from him

From my previous browsing of SC, I've made the lazy assumption that @Spurrific and @SargeantMeatCurtains live together in a Peep Show-esque house-/flat-share arrangement [clearly Spurrific being Mark and SMC being Jez], so I guess it's up to Flashspur's best mate to look after the Sarge tonight.

You've read his posts, and you think they've got sharp objects where he lives?!? :D:D
