For those that don't want to click through, the guy who is supposedly his agent says 'lol, we'll see' when someone says Saliba should join us for CL

Here's a thought; I wonder if he's going to be our new right back?

In that video (above) he seems to be playing on the right in a few of those clips, including for France (presumably at U18 or U21 level).

He seems to be pretty quick and athletic.

Anyway, something to consider...

ali z on money, i think related suggestions we dont have much money as we are bidding for saliba who would cost the same we are getting for toby: We have money but can't splash 70 m everywhere with 150 k a week wages, soon end up like Arsenal.

Didn't want to post this in the ITK thread but why are arsenal struggling so much money wise? Stadium not getting Champs? Don't understand how this has happened. Not that am bothered just curious

One thing that seems odd to me is that we would mess about so much with the Grealish transfer last summer, end up missing out because of it, but then all of a sudden we offer more than this guys asking price.

Either it's bollocks or the penny has dropped for Levy

Lack of revenue from champions league, if they hadn’t sold players last year they would of reported a loss for the first time in years

Not often I get excited about a defender but he looks fcuking mint

Looks fast and strong. That's all I can gather from that Clip.
Could be positionally shocking, bad awareness, tactically poor etc etc

Regardless at his age better to learn from poch than the greasy dude who's name I've forgotten

Plays on the right of a back 3 for St Etienne. He’s definitely a CB.

Arsenal transfer window has been so comical till now....ultimate banter FC

Signed a 18 year old Brazilian Serie D player :meh:
Low balled Palace for Zaha & got rejected :finger:
Went back to Palace again with their rejects like Chambers, Elneny & Jenkinson. Got Rejected :finger:
Came up with a stupid ass promo for their kit
Some Arsenal fans protested against Kroenke....wearing that new kit.:ROFLMAO:
'Agreed in principle' for a 18 year old CB but on a deal that would loan him back for a year...when they need a CB now:unsure:
Few hours before preseason tour - club captain & main CB decides to jump ship:finger:
Few hours after preseason tour - Spurs looking to hijack only deal they nearly agreed. ;):playful::ROFLMAO::D

The song choice kind of aptly describes him in that video, imo. A bit of lone wolf. Choosing to use his feet to get out of trouble instead of passing or clearing it. I understand its a highlight video focusing on him but if he tries some of what he pulled off in that video in the prem, he’d get burned quite easily. He also looks a bit like gumby currently. Needs to bulk up and lower his center of gravity.

He’s VERY raw. Looks rawer than Foyth looked when he first arrived(and Foyth is still very raw). Certainly one for the future. Looks about 2 years away from real first team game time outside of those very early league cup/fa cup ties against minnows, IMO. Probably should be loaned back actually but it sounds as if that wont be happening. If we lose Toby and he’s the only one coming in, Dier would become 3rd or 4th CB while Davies would be 5th.

In that case, we’d need to sign a true DM which causes a bigger numbers problem in CM. Dier is versatile, which helps alleviate the problem if Ceballos comes in. If Toby leaves, and Saliba joins, we need a DM and he probably wont be as versatile positionally as Dier. Leaves us hamstrung with Skipp completely crowded out at CM and a bit short at CB.

I think it’s simply a case that for the first time since becoming chairman, Levy is able to open the purse strings a bit wider, thanks largely to the new stadium finally generating money.

You’ve created a list of all Arsenal’s embarrassing moments this summer and left out the newly formed ‘Ashburton Army’.

Shame on you......

Long story short they're "self sustaining" but they're too shit to be. They're really missing CL revenue after missing out for the 3rd time in a row. Terribly unfortunate situation for them. :smug:
