Actually thought he was very unlucky with the 1st one just headed it the wrong way in that split second he has. Still lucky that it landed so perfectly for the attacker

Hand ball in my book, directly resulted in a goal

Second mistake was obviously a result of him still thinking about the first situation

Still a fantastic keeper. They all make mistakes. Impossible not to

Actually think 2nd goal was Lloris already thinking about releasing the. Ball to Walker for the attack, took his eye off the ball at the crucial moment.

No one will be more upset with his performance today than himself.. I bet he is kicking himself, but he barely makes an error like that and it is a team game. He certainly wins us way more points than he loses.

We are very lucky to have him inbetweeen th sticks.

How is it laughable? De gea, chec, Chelsea keeper (who's name I forget) schmeichel are better. I'm not saying he is not s good keeper but he is not the best in the league imo. He makes wonderful saves but is prone to more mistakes than the the better keeper s imo

I believe the late great Slim Pickens said it best when he said, "what in the wild wild world of sports is going on here?"

Best keeper in the league for keeping the ball out of the net but ropey as fuck with his feet. It's the only thing holding him back from being up there with Neuer.

Puts us under pressure so often against teams that press high. Against the lesser sides he can have it all day but when he's rushed he constantly spoons it out for a throw in or digs it straight up in the air and only about 20 yards.

Love Hugo and the old cliche is right about the amount of points he earns us each season so I can forgive the odd mistake. He'll be back to his best next time out (y)

All those who criticise his distribution maybe haven't noticed that most of the time the opposition have somehow noticed that we like to build up from the back and not many keepers are blessed with the passing skills of Glenn Hoddle. His mix of distributing long and short is dictated by available options and occasionally he gets it wrong. Occasionally. It's no different at the other end with other keepers when we ourselves press high up the pitch.

As for his mistakes today, it happens. He kept us in it in the first half and on this occasion in the second half the rest of the team got us back in it .

End of story.

When was the last time he made two major mistakes in the same game? The guy is a fantastic keeper, but many now take his world class saves for granted and focus on the negatives.

For his all round contribution there genuinely isn't a keeper out there I'd swap him with.

I watch a fair bit of Man U matches, you will have to refresh my memory because apart from his first season de gea has been vertically faultless from what I have seen

Think you meant to log into red cafe mate. Jog on

Everyone has a bad day at the office, unfortunately when you are a keeper though it generally means it's a goal conceded but for it to lead to two is hard to swallow...apart from that though citeh didn't really test him which is more frustrating!

Name me 5 mistakes for de gea then smart arse

I can't remember but I think it was the start of last season he was wobbly, don't get me wrong I think he's a world class keeper. U quoted me player ratings in another thread so il quote u some.

Premier league ratings this year.
Lloris - 6.74
de Gea - 6.51

Not much in it but Lloris on top.

How is laughable? As much as I don't like it de gea, chec are better and a few more are equally as good

That is absolute nonsense.

You genuinely could not be more wrong.

He made a few misplaced passes which I think dented his confidence in turn leading to the errors. We need to pass back less imo, distribution is his weak point.

Even the world's best players have bad days.
He's done way more positive stuff for us than the two mistakes in this match. He'll come good again in the next game. If it was Gomes, I might not be so sure about his mental strength so I'm glad it's Lloris and not Gomes.

Let's look at the positives instead. We crawled back to snatch a point (and in doing so, deprived a top opponent of another two points) despite us playing so poorly today and we did it when a few of our attacking players were not at their best today. In addition we started without one of our two mainstay CBs and ended the game without both of them.

Furthermore, the bin dippers lost at home to the league's (previously) bottom club and united could only draw with a mid-table team with a late late goal. We didn't lose any ground based solely on Saturday's matches. Hopefully Sunday would turn out even rosier if Arsenal & Chelsea were to drop points too.

So there's nothing really to sulk about. Go enjoy the weekend.

His header for their first goal. It seemed he was trying to be too clever and flick it round to walker when he coild have just cleared it with his head high and straight

Second was simply a huge error. He is so good that I cant remember the last time he did something like tbat

Here take your pick mate.

You're right tho. He hardly makes any errors.
For someone who claims to watch Man Utd a lot you seem to have missed quite a bit.
