Foyth will be back at training in September, and remember international break. He probably will miss additionally 2 gw + 2 suspended

Forgot about international break. Either way though, I am still not convinced that Foyth is the answer to our problematic RB spot.

With regards to City, yeah sure they are favourites every season whilst Pep is manager but at some point, someone will stop them, much like Blackburn and Arsenal did with United. Why can't it be us? We have everything in place bar 1-2 signings (we might even get the in before deadline day!!) for me to be able to push for a title. I think its upto us or Liverpool to stop City becoming a dominant force over the next 5 or so seasons.

Isn't "putting the pressure on" but ultimately failing exactly what we've been lambasted for in recent years (unfairly, I might add)? I can't see Liverpool repeating last season but I can see Man City churning out c.100 points for the third season in a row.

I've just been thinking over the last few days that there would be some in logic in other teams keeping their powder a bit drier in terms of spending until such time as Man City aren't basically guaranteed to win the title (Guardiola plus unlimited funds is a perfect storm).

They pushed them for the title until the last day which is what you suggested we couldn’t do whilst pep is in charge, your reply is a different point all together

Fair point.

I guess what I'm trying to say is that I don't think anyone will be pushing them for the title this (and most) seasons until Guardiola leaves.

#thfc are set to make a late move to sign a right-back as Serge Aurier is being targeted by many Ligue One teams including his former side PSG. [The Sun]

I'm inclined to agree, but does leave me a little nervous about having Atal and KWP fighting it out in the short term.

No more nervous that it being aurier and Atal surely?

They seem very similar don't they, Foyth would be the opposite though.

@ValenciaYid saying RB a priority.. wishful thinking that Serge has a new home and now we're trying to move for this guy with the reports that came out yesterday. Fingers crossed, but its like we try to make things as difficult for ourselves as possible.

It's like being on a rollercoaster while they're still constructing the track ahead.
