This is from a guy on football365.com Spurs page. Seems to know his stuff. Intelligent chap. I thought it was worth a share.

"Apparantly Spurs have approached their insurers to discuss the possibility of a potential claim - that being the retirement of Woodgate."

Hope he's wrong...

I assume he must know the THFC insurance brokers and/or insurer. We (Aon) used to have the account a few years ago, but I can no longer gain access to that sort of info.

How long did Woody have on his contract anyway, was it a year? I wouldn't have thought there would have been a great payout, he must have cost a fortune to insure. I won't jump to any conclusions until its official, I would luv to see him back playing would be such a boost.

The fact that it's on football365 makes me dubious.

Funnily enough I was thinking about whether we could claim anything on Woody while watching highlights of the CC Final the other day. Then I realised he was worth every penny for that Carling Cup winner. I know we didn't get long out of him, but it's great to know that his head got us our first piece of silverware since 1999. We've wasted money on a lot worse.

Obviously Daniel Levy is a business man, so he'll try and get something out of it nonetheless.

We got 18 months injury free from him. He wasn't exactly injury prone until this rather unfortunate serious injury.

Why? Are you a member of the forum there?

It's hardly tribal football; in fact, quite the opposite.

I am. Tbf the official club threads are usually quite a good read but the chat forum is full of wums.

It is hilarious though :)

Don't you just hate it when that happens on a forum...? ;-)

To be fair, it's not your regular fanzine forum per se, but more of a laugh - except the official club threads, as mentioned above. It's excellent and couldn't get through work without it.

agreed. without this and the F365 forum, work would be almost unbearable! Might actually get some stuff done though....
