Think we could do with another friendly or two.

So many players Poch still hasn't seen a minute.

He could field

Lloris (Vorm) - Davies (BAE), Fredericks, Chiriches, Vertonghen - Paulinho, Sandro, Dembele, Chadli, Bentaleb - Adebayor

For example.

Plenty new faces for Poch to see.
After all the travelling in the US, I'm sure the reason we only have two games is that Poch would much prefer to just get down to serious tactical and team shape work on the training pitch for the next few weeks.

We need to integrate the 6 players who went to World cup + Adebayor & Chiriches back in squad. That's the biggest task IMO; Its all well & good to sign a CB & a winger - we need to settle down as a team for first game against WestHam;

Every season, we leave it till last moment & end up gifting a 5 or 6 point leads to top clubs; This season we got to start better;

Remember, we also have Spurs XI friendlies away to Dagenham & Redbridge this Saturday and then to Cambridge United the Tuesday after. Both have said on their websites that we're promising a "strong team". Wouldn't be at all surprised if we sent the World Cup and fringe players to Finland, but kept much of the squad here to play in those which would effectively bring us up to 7 games.

Cambridge website says they are expecting the world cup contingent to be playing against them.

That's make some sense, as there's no senior fixture that midweek so we can send whoever needs fitness which may well be some of them.

I'm actually in a bit of a sticky situation for the Cambridge game.
We are planning on going with my father-in-law (who will be paying for the tickets). Thing is, him, my wife and my daughter are going in the home end as wife and her dad are long term fans and former season ticket holders.
My 8 yr old son turned round the other way and declared "no way are we standing in that end. We're going in the Spurs end!!"
So it looks like 2 of us in the away stand, 3 in the home...

Throughballs.

Practice using them and defending against them for two weeks. That is all.
