Options dropping like flies. Resigned myself it will be no one now.
Yeah can totally see that. For me the second Piatek was off weren't going to sign anyone else. We've got our priorities wrong this window and we've blown it by playing chicken with another club again.

Well ideally that would be Son...
If Pochettino were coach then i'd agree since we have Bergwijn to cover the wings. But he isn't the coach anymore and Mourinho is. Mourinho has made it abundantly clear in his view of the game that Son and Moura are not strikers and that he needs a number 9. Levy has a duty to support demands that are entirely reasonable and understandable. Do you think JM demanding a striker when you look at who our rivals have available is unreasonable?

We have Harry Kane so in terms of a backup we really only require somebody functional who will offer things that neither Son or Lucas do, decent hold up play and instinct in the box and from crosses. Point is it doesn't have to be somebody who's gonna cost 50m and literally most cast offs from other top clubs would do. The need is also clearly short term so we are not in a position to be holding our powder dry for the summer.

There is no excuse not to get a Premier League standard striker in, even if it's just a 6 month loan until we reassess the situation in the summer.

January is a difficult month for signings. Unless we're going to pay an outrageous fee for a player who is likely to be substandard, then there are probably no real options. And by that I mean players that Mourinho himself probably doesn't think are good enough. So it can't be pinned on the board alone.

We have seemingly missed out or not getting every striker in existence so I'm dying to know what JJ knows. Fair play to the club if they've managed to keep something under wraps this long.

Just to say Kaveh said they (Sociedad) wanted cash but Spurs want a loan and then in the same breath that United would/could be offered him on loan - there is a problem there chief ...

JJ was confident yesterday remember. A lot can (and probably has) changed since then

Well whilst SouthEastern was making me look like a prat as they made me stand in the cold yet again at Bromley South half hour ago he was saying he would still take bets on twitter.

Sky have also reported OG wants to move to Italy but the ticker states he is desperate to stay in London!

I sometimes think it’s strange I’ve never caught another commuter on SC on their phone

With due respect - if you live south of the river, then ‘their’ rules apply. Lived that way for awhile but got ‘woke’ ... (?)
