I do wonder if Ings is being lined up by them as someone to get if Zaha leaves. If the bid was legit I'd imagine everyone on the Liverpool board would be fighting over who gets to drive him to the medical at Palace!

Apparently Ayew is stalling because the Palace part-ex player doesn't want to go to Swansea, so they aren't holding that one up.

Why though?

There are several clubs in the Premier League who are spending money without selling players for big money - West Ham, Wolves, Everton, Fulham...

Palace really haven't spent that much...
Because it fits the narrative I want to believe.

Palace are properly skint cashwise, they've been buying without selling to recoup enough funds for years now. Oh and their wage to revenue rate is sky-high.

No, that's Liverpool's price. Palace don't have that sort of money to waste.

I don't know where this narrative of certain clubs don't have money to spend on transfers - the Premier League clubs have never had more money being pumped into them due to the TV deals etc!

Fulham have spent around £80m this window...

£80m!!...

A newly promoted club!!

So with Champions League football, we actually spend far less. Something doesn't quite add up there.

Can only assume our lack of buying is down to the lack of selling. Only so many squad places I suppose.

Bolded part has been confirmed by pretty much all ITK. Not down to us having the funds or not, it's about squad places/dead weight.

Didn't Fulham pick up £170m for getting promoted.... along with an extra £110m if they stay up next season?? Plus the owners stacked - They have the cash imo.
