A week or so ago, with the likelihood of signing Grealish and the prospect of seeing the real Wanyama I would say definitely yes.

Now though I would extremely concerned if we went into this season without an addition in CM.

Yeah it's not ideal. I'd be satisfied, not exactly happy. Nowhere near the disaster some are making out this window to be though.

I was quite excited to see him playing in a deeper position for England but it really didn't suit him. I think this was partly down to England's style of play though. He was often forced out wide where he's far less effective and generally had few passing options. I wonder if he could do a job against bus parking teams as part of a midfield 2, making late runs into the box a la Lampard.

Our priority this window (in this order):

1) Quality CM
2) Wide forward/backup striker
3) Replacements for Toby or Rose (if they are going)

Even fucks like us can get it right. Not sure what's going on at the club currently.

Yeah he can definitely do a job there. I just think he's better further up the pitch, as a foil to Kane and getting on the end of crosses.

Yeah well, you have to be careful with Twitter comments as it's not always easy to see the context, whether it's opinion or stated as ITK plus there's always pinches of salt of course.

I think it was him but not 100% just remember reading it wasn’t happening. But if he wants us and a fee has been agreed with Palace surely that’s it

I'd honestly be satisfied if we only signed a quality central midfielder. I'd love to have Zaha (or Martial) at the club, but I don't think either of them are improvements on Son (I know he's going to be missing a few games, but still), whereas our crocked midfield could be massively improved by any of a few seemingly attainable central midfielders.
