Why are the ticket prices so much more than they were at WHL?

Shock at a state of the art stadium costing more to attend than a 100+ year old stadium

Yeah how unreasonable must someone be to even doubt whether spending nearly £100 on the cheapest seat to watch us take on the mighty Saints is good value.

£100 is premium... cheapest will be nearer £50.

You'd think that mad too, but some league 1 clubs can charge £30

Hey everyone,

Firstly, come on, you Spurs!

Secondly, I decided to watch another game this season, so have just looked at tickets prices for the Southampton (my first game this season was courtesy of a friend’s season ticket for the Palace game!), and couldn’t believe the price of tickets, considering it’s against Southampton (I’m assuming Cat B).

The last match I watched at WHL was against Swansea. I sat dead on the halfway line at the front, and it was £40. I’ve just looked at prices for Saturday in the same kind of area (in the middle, anywhere from near the front to up in the rafters), and the cheapest ticket is £85 in the rafters, or £173 at the front.

Am I missing something? I thought ticket exchange tickets were supposed to be sold at face value. Or is this the face value of tickets now? ?

Bring your boots, the ticket you’re looking at enables you to play in defence.
You any good at right back?

I doubt it considering Bayern was a cat A and I got a ticket for £78 which wasn't the cheapest available either

Why should it cost more. Its the same game of football we’re going to watch
So you wouldn't expect to pay more for a better cinema to watch the same movie? Better stadium = higher cost. I dont see how that's so surprising really. Wasn't Wembley more expensive than WHL too? Better stadiums always come at a premium.

Because English people are happy to be fucked financially. 9 billion pounds tv rights deals but still we get fucked with ticket prices

It was the game we won 2-0 in Jan 2018 mate. We were sat next to two Swansea supporters and had a great laugh with each other ?

well Swansea wasn't in the PL in 2018, any home game in 2018 was at Wembley and the last time was an August fixture. last time we played Swansea at home early in the calender year was 2016 which was a February fixture. Swansea would have been a group C fixture so £40 was about right. with the new stadium, everything about the surrounds and whats available has gone up. In some areas, you would have been able to get tickets for Southampton (if graded group C) for £55.

Swansea were relegated at the end of the 17/18 season, and we beat them away 2-0 in the January. That's the game he's on about.

well why ask about the cost and difference in pricing for a game in 2 different areas let alone Stadiums. no new stadium sticks to their old pricing

Those 2 transfer windows don’t pay for themselves you know

The product now is so far superior to what it was and as a customer it’s the difference between shopping in Lidl a few years ago and now walking around Waitrose

Even that walk up to the ground from the tube. It’s like the Kings Road now!!!

Imagine if we’d built the cheese room...

ha, spot on

walking around Waitrose, but still only dwelling by the sandwiches going off in two hours section
