Why are the ticket prices so much more than they were at WHL?

Hey everyone,

Firstly, come on, you Spurs!

Secondly, I decided to watch another game this season, so have just looked at tickets prices for the Southampton (my first game this season was courtesy of a friend’s season ticket for the Palace game!), and couldn’t believe the price of tickets, considering it’s against Southampton (I’m assuming Cat B).

The last match I watched at WHL was against Swansea. I sat dead on the halfway line at the front, and it was £40. I’ve just looked at prices for Saturday in the same kind of area (in the middle, anywhere from near the front to up in the rafters), and the cheapest ticket is £85 in the rafters, or £173 at the front.

Am I missing something? I thought ticket exchange tickets were supposed to be sold at face value. Or is this the face value of tickets now? ?

That does seem odd - I’ve just my Chelsea tickets for £65 each in block 101

Jeebus! Fair play mate. It’s so sad. I’m a One Hotspur member, so got the email through to say that the Bayern tickets were now available to me. Cheapest for that game is £70. Guess how much the cheapest ticket is for Bayern fans to watch the corresponding fixture at their ground? £27! ?

I appreciate we have a brand new stadium, and they need to pay it off, but jees.

Saying that, it seems high.
Are you definitely looking at the right fixture?

They do add on booking fees, so you'll pay a bit more than face value.

Damn those evil EU countries and their reasonable, fan-centric ticket prices. This is why we're leaving.

Deregulated, free market economy bitches!

Booking/Transaction and postage fees will be added to that price shown...most likely taking it over £200.

Why should it cost more. Its the same game of football we’re going to watch

if his seat when he last went was in the East Stand then they where cheaper due to that stand having restricted views due to pillars, even though sitting at the front had no pillars. we are also talking about inflation 3 years, and in the East stand you are now getting a better seat, a better view and in a brand new stadium that does have to be paid for, including the fact the players are also earning double compared to what they did when we last played at the old Lane

Those 2 transfer windows don’t pay for themselves you know

The product now is so far superior to what it was and as a customer it’s the difference between shopping in Lidl a few years ago and now walking around Waitrose

Even that walk up to the ground from the tube. It’s like the Kings Road now!!!

Imagine if we’d built the cheese room...
