I just thought I would start a discussion on who you people think the next manager will be if Harry get sent down for tax evasion?
Personaly I think we may end up with someone like David Moyes.

Mourinho, I reckon there's a good chance he'd come, he's at the end of the line with RM according to reports

Pointless speculating till we know the outcome of the court case IMO, although I'm sure Levy has contingency plans in place.

Even if found guilty I don't think he will "go down".

Neither do I, but I'd still quite like to get Mourinho in the summer. It's not worth gambling everything on that though, as I'm not sure if he'd fancy the job.

If moyes had a budget hed be very good, and hes done amazing with all his best players being sold, and zero of that cash to buy new ones... however, its got to be a cup winner at the least. Notice how we went for Redknapp once hed actually won a medal? Thats the criteria.

Jose dosnt exactly play glory football either, Porto were not renowned for being purists and that Chelsea team wasnt anything fancy. Robben could beat a player but the ethos was to win regardless. Id take Jose but for glory football you need the players, and for that we need CL.

He won't go down.

Mind you, I said to my mate, wouldn't surprise me if the Judge said "Right, 6 months or manager of England, take it or leave it".

We won't get Mourinho, ever. I'd like to think he would consider us but he won't. There are several clubs that would offer him mega money, I am sure Chelsea would welcome him back too!

I'd say he's yet to be proven when given a budget. Some managers can handle it, many can't as we've seen before. Personally I'd rather not take the risk on a manager that may or may not be able to handle it and go for someone who is a proven winner and big club manager.

With Ancelotti off the table that seems to leave Mourinho as the sole candidate, which in turn will make him in demand. It wouldn't entirely surprise me if Liverpool are looking for a new manager this summer.

Also, and unrelated, IF we are going to lose Modric at the end of the season for £50m then I wouldn't mind seeing £20m of it spent on Joe Allen and Mateo Kovacic.

but can we keep him as manager if found guilty? Would Levy want that slur?

Would sponsors want that slur? etc etc

I used to think that Levy would kick his arse out the door if he were found guilty but now I think we should stand by him.
