I know there is already an established thread on this very subject and I don't want to take the general debate away from that thread.

I am however interested in seeing what people actually think (as opposed to want) will happen between now and the start of the season.

The other thread's poll seems to be based more on what people want to happen than what they think will happen, or at least what they maybe thought could happen at the time when we were flying in third and in touching distance of the Manchester clubs.

So in this poll (which I will make public so everyone can see posters opinions) I'd like to ask the SPurscommunity members who they actually THINK will be in charge next season not who they want to be.

So if you were forced to put your life savings on a double or nothing type bet to pick who will be in charge next season which potential contender would you back? (and why)

To be honest, at this very moment in time I'd take Sally Gunnell over HR after his comments in the last few days. The guy's lost it. I hope he ends up jobless.

But for the record, I've voted Rodgers. I don't think we'll be expected to finish in the CL spots next season regardless of whether we qualify for CL or not. If he can come in, bring in Joe Allen and Michel Vorm along with Caulker returning I think we'll have an extremely solid squad (obviously with a couple of additions from elsewhere). We'll be a force once again.

I would like to think that Levy would go for a younger manager with ambition to build something at Spurs. I've gone for Rogers as I find him impressive. I can see Roberto Martinez sneaking upon the rails though.

i think either Sherwood if internal or Rodgers if external

went external
I don't actually think there is any chance Levy will promote from within, not for someone who has never been a manager yet.

Too big a risk I'd think and while pretty much anything we do will be a risk I think Levy would like to take less of a gamble than giving someone their first start in football management

I think Levy will go for Moyes. Not my choice, but Levy would see him as a reliable 'steady Eddie'.

If I was to put a double or nothing bet then I think Redknapp will still be manager next season. He definitely will not get the England job he may get fourth, even if he comes 6th I am doubting Levy would sack him.

I have consistantly supported Harry since he walked through the door, and i will be forever grateful to him for turning our club into a real respected force that i am still ,despite the last few weeks , really proud of the way we have been playing .......but the thought of him being our manager next season doesn't appeal to me at all,his real personality comes out when things start to go wrong and he is starting to lose the plot and by the sound of it the dressing room too, i never get the feeling that he ever protects his players when things are not going his way from the media, he just seems more interested in keeping his own image high and distancing himself from any kind of blame.

Moyes for me. He is now playing better football.
He is regarded as one of the best talent spotters in the game.

Absolutely no way Levy would in a million years promote Sherwood. Like discussing whether we keep Adebayor, or just give the main striker's role to Harry Kane instead!

There are rumours that Roberto Martinez is high on our list of potential replacements. But I read that on Facebook, so make of that what you will.

I hope for Brendan Rodgers. But who the fuck knows?

Levy wont take a risk on an unproven. He's a businessman, not a philanthropist. He also knows we need a big name to keep our big players and maintain our profile

It will be whichever of Kloop, van Gaal, Capello, Low, Blanc or Ancelotti he can convince to come. It's hard to predict out of those:
- Kloop will be hardest to convince
- van Gaal and Capello are both available.
- Low and Blanc it depends what happens/what they fancy doing after the Euros
- Ancelotti sounds like he'll be at PSG next season, but seemed to be really keen on our job a year ago.

Remember Levy has key friends in the business who will be advising him (SGE and Mourinho in particular I would have thought).

If I had to put money on it, I'd go for Capello (just ahead of Ancelotti).

Disagree, like I said in another thread, Moyes reacts, he offers little in a proactive sense, he's very conservative like that, and I think football at the top level is finally bearing out the truth of our club motto.

Not sure who you mean when you say he is regarded as one of the best talent spotters, who regards him like that?

I think Levy will go for Moyes. Not my choice, but Levy would see him as a reliable 'steady Eddie'.

I disagree that Levy will go for Moyes, I don't think he'll go for him at all, because I think he has a different vision for the club's route to success.

I can't see us convincing Klopp, van Gaal, Capello, Low, Blanc OR Ancelotti, personally.

Would love Klopp, but I can't see it.

Rodgers, Lambert, Martinez or Moyes seem to be the logical options of people we could actually get.

I agree with you that Levy is a business man, but I think you lack insight into how a Levy type thinks...

I was going to say that, in the past we could have predicted managers based on whoever had his ear at that time. Who has his ear now? Or is he going solo like Roald Dahl?

was on one of the sky press things
saying every 'gem' would have been at efc a long time before big clubs got an idea but he has no cash to get them

Indeed. Deadwood is one of Redknapp's staff anyway. If we had an internal candidate (which we dont) it would be Inglethorpe anyway.

It was in the Sun today, but only because of their result yesterday.

Rodgers, Martinez, Coyle, Lambert, Adkins, Howe all seem interchangable as the B list forerunner depending on the form of their current club.
