Which signing got you most excited?

Rebrov for me, I was 13/14 in my formative championship manager years so I was buzzing when we signed him, as Dynamo Kiev used to ruin me on that game. Ran up a huge phone bill getting twice daily updates on clubcall and making my parents furious. Got his name on my shirt for my birthday, which got torn to shreds when I came off a dry toboggan in chamonix that same summer. An apt metaphor for his Spurs career really, although I still maintain he wasn’t as bad as people remember

Me too. I even have an autographed picture thing that looks nothing like him but the autograph is good.

Klinsmann was the first signing I really remember getting super excited about and then Popescu and Dumitrescu following Romania's performance at USA '94.

Don't think I experienced that feeling again until we signed Robbie Keane, again following his World Cup performances in 2002.

My favourite though was Rafa. I'd been a huge fan since he came through at Ajax and ran home from work to check the internet reports to see if they were true.

Then Bale returning last year. I didn't think I'd be that excited, as I was so disappointed when he left, but I forgot all about that when the rumours started up. I got hardly any work done that day.
