Here's some spurting KUMB:

Jenksinson is the Weak link and was dross again today. Jelavic done well when come on and done more than Carroll in his 15 mins.
**

that was terrible! poor decisions on the line up for me! as many have said, Sakho should be in the middle up front, not out wide, Carroll should of been used as an impact sub, whether he likes it or not, that is his most effective quality! and Zarate should be in Payets role.

At times it felt like Alladyce with how much we were allowing ourselves to get so badly bullied by the opposition. No Knicker wetting here though! Billic will have to reshape things for West Brom and hopefully put the right players in the right positions, and even without Payet we are still a very good team capable of finnishing in the top 6, we just need to move on, regroup and go hell for leather against West Brom, and take a leaf out of Sp*ds's book, I hate to say it but their closing down and pressure off the ball was imense!

This games gone, as someone above mentioned we are 6th with most the toughest fixtures played! ,

Missed out on tickets due to issues online. Watching the game was my only request today and my mrs falls asleep at half time on the setee. I had to take my little girl upstairs to stop her jumping on her sleeping mum and i missed the last 25/30 mins of the game. I probably wont even be p*ssed off with her when she wakes up.

Might have to delete match of the day recording for tonight.

Spurs have played Liverpool, man City, man u and arsenal and have only lost to man u and shouldn't have lost that game. Their manager is class, he would never allow the type of performances we have put in against Bournemouth, Leicester, Watford and today. The have a plan as a team that we just don't seem to have. Our only plan is against the massive clubs sticking 11 behind the ball and counter attacking, that's all that has really worked for us

Chelsea

Would you be happy going to WHL with the same team as yesterday?

It's a recipe for disaster IMO.

Yeah look what Spurs just did to west ham... We need to be back to our best at the back, and as a team in general. Or we may ship 5 again.

Welcome, friend...Join the Pocheteenies and make him our next manager. #

Spurs are actually very decent at the moment!!!

They are overdue a defeat and we are overdue to give someone a tonking...
It will happen next Sunday.

Spuds look rampant. Not looking forward to next week....

We lost 5-3 last season don't think anything can be worse then that..unless we do it again

3-0

Hate to say it, but Tottenham is very nice to watch right now.

On the other hand - Delle Alli what an idiot move, one less thing to worry next week

the way we chelsea are playing. we are going to get destroyed by tottenham hotspur this coming weekend.

we will probably lose 4 - 1 or 5 - 2 to tottenham.

i am not confident nor have any trust in what's happening and how our club is being run at the moment.

Too bad Pochettino changed his mind concerning Dembele. Thought he'd be a good player to pick up in the winter. He'd make a very good squad player imo.

Kane proving a lot of people wrong. Not looking forward to next week.

From Redcafe, re our spending:

Bugger all. Most of the team is made up of academy players and players bought by previous managers. Song, Alderweild and Alli are the only first team players I can think of.

It's such a young team now, too. He really is excellent at building sides.

Dare I say it, I'd love for him to be our next manager.

Fuck me. I wonder who out of chel$ea and yanited will manage to land Poch?

We'd best sack him now really. Save everyone the bother of tiresome negotiations. Send Harry along with him as a package deal.

West 'am match thread. This is for you @riggi !!!!

Hilariously after Kouyate shoots from being 5 yards offside:

Horrendous luck. Typical. Should be 1-1.

And people still try to convince me Kane is lucky.. What a sod he is. Impossible to defend against

No less than they deserve. We've lined up all wrong today not seen us this poor all season. Spurs a good side but we need to change something, making it far too easy fo them

At 2-0, there was a lot of this:

Getting absolutely hammered. Embarrassing. Jenkinson needs to be sent back to Arsenal asap. Carroll off for Antonio at half time, he's gash

Tottenham playing how we only wished we could at home.

I never understand why nearly everyone looks forward to this fixture every season. We just embarrass ourselves near enough all the time. They, like Everton must love playing us. It's just so frustrating. Sometimes I think the fans care about this fixture more than the players do. Just look how soft the 2nd goal was. Did that look like a team that wants to win this fixture? Pathetic defending.

3-0:

**** right off, complete embarrassment

Noble for England, right?

Jelavic comes on to save the day

Seriously. Jelavic?!

Don't worry guys, jelavic is coming on

GreatJellyfish coming on! we are saved!!!

I'm better than Jelavic

Almost as bad as getting beat here is seeing Roy Hodgson's smug face in the stands.

Get a life Noble. Gives it the large one after being torn a new one all game.

Noble. What a guy! Surely the missing link in England's Euro 2016 endveours.
icon_thumbsup.gif

"England's Ryan Mason coming on.
icon_lol.gif
"

And you're laughing why?

Hopefully this will put to bed the ridicoulous talk of us finishing in the top 6. We are miles away from being a top 6 team. I still don't think we're a top 10 team yet. When everyone is fit we have a solid team. And our strength in depth is slightly better than last season. But we are still weak in some areas. You need good strength in depth, a strong spine, solid defence, a goal scoring midfielder and a top striker to be competing for a top 6 place. Apart from the midfielder (Payet) we haven't got any of the others.

Is it a Premier league rule that you can pull the shirts of the opposition as long as you wear white ?

Not really. Its moments like these where I am reminded about those who conflate Noble's status as a great servant and local legend, with his abilities as a player and as a captain. Today Ali has run him ragged, as did Kane over that tackle in the first half. Then getting involved and the yellow card, does nothing to endear himself.

Kyle Walker, Aaron Lennon like in his cock levels.

Spurs are better than us in every single department. Simple as that. Can't win them all.

Still time for a comeback though.

ok m9:
What pisses me off a lot is that Spurs are dogshit at the back.

Have we been that poor? Granted, three mistakes for the goals which doesn't help, but credit to the Spuds - they have really pressed very hard over the whole length of the pitch and never gave us a glimmer of getting any control of the ball.

I didn't expect to win a game like this, it would be nice and I thought we were capable but I never expected it. Give me a committed performance and I'm happy. I tend to draw the line when we come out with white flags, bend over and pucker our arseholes.

Re. Hodgson:

Sitting right behind Levy, and my first thought I wonder if you could one it with one bullet.

Fourth rolls in:

Pains me to say it, but Spurs for the title?
They look VERY impressive at the moment.

That's a thrashing

Shocking today. The players have really let us down.

Yes Spurs have looked good but they aren't all that, we've just been absolutely appalling and completely disinterested.

I mean Kyle Walker scoring is the biggest joke, the bloke can barely kick a ball.

At 4-1 down after destroying them all over the park, they still find time to spout their delusions
Good day for spurs. Made us look very poor. Lanzini and kouyate and perhaps Sakho. Also pleased to see song back. Don't think Spurs looked better than us with payet in the team but thems the breaks. Without him they were much better.

Commentator: "They've suffered two lashes of the Kane".

Think I threw up in my mouth a little bit.

I'm sure we all agree that Tom Carroll should be in the England squad after that 3 mins for Spuds.

Outplayed and outmuscled. Reid was the only one that really stood up to them. Dembelle was a beast. At times it was men v boys. They must be horrible to play against.

Spurs looked good though. Reckon they could run the top teams close if they keep that form up.

He'd be a fool to go, he has power and moving into the new stadium to look forward to.

He can build his legacy here.

He wouldn't go near Chelsea or Man Utd - it would take a year or two to implement his philosophy and he wouldn't get that. And he had to spend a year getting rid of bad eggs at Spurs and I doubt he wants to do that again any time soon. I'd expect him to be here the next 4 or 5 years at least.

Well of course you do, as do I but we are Tottenham supporters. If Pochettino got the call from United my guess would be that he would leave, he left Southampton for us.
There is this also. TBH I don't think he would get the call from yanited, Chelsea are a different matter, until he'd achieved some success with us. Say a couple of good seasons (top 4) and/or a domestic trophy or even the Europa or something. By which time we'll hopefully already be in the new stadium or just about to be and with the majority of our squad in tact. I think that, for once, in those circs we'd have the brightest and best young managers in Europe lining up to take over.

What if one day RM rock up? I wouldn't myself. He'd just be another in a long line of managers, nothing special, and any wins short of a 4/5 year period of almost total European domination, would do the square root of sod all for any legacy he has. But that's just me. Most players and managers would set the carpet on fire they'd be out the door so quickly.

You never know though. Maybe Poch does want a legacy instead of reputation and the only way to build a legacy is to take a club to those heights. Not slot in and try and maintain a club's standards. Highly romantic view of things of though and does it happen in modern football now?

Good observation from this United fan on Redcafe

Mousa Dembele is an absolute beast of player. Dier and Ali get the headlines because they are young and English, but Dembele is the standout player in Spurs midfield and the stand out CM in the Prem this season. He's really struggled with his hip injury for the last 2 seasons, but now he's totally fit, pain free and bossing virtually every game.

Gary Neville is waxing lyrical about Poch all the time he is the most vocal 'Pocheteenie' around. If he has anyone ear who's worth having at UTD he will be recommending him as the next boss.

It's funny if theirs one set of supporters that know the intricacies of our players... It's ManU for some strange reason.

We've been a feeder club to them far to often.
