They had a spell in the 60s of mildly entertaining football but have nothing in their history to rival Spurs landmarks, for example of 'The Flower of the South' 1901 team, Vic Buckingham and Arthur Rowe's contributions to the development of the Mighty Magyars, innovations such as Push an Run and Ron Reynolds practice of the goalkeeper actually passing the ball to his teammates instead of booting it upfield, or Bill Nicholson's 100 goal per season teams. They've never come close to being the sort of club who could lead the country's attendance figures despite being in the second division, as Spurs did in 1950. They did contribute three players to England's 1966 WC winners but how shit must the rest of that WHU team been! And their manager of the time went on to be one of England's very worst ever managers. Contrasting somewhat with the ex-Spur, Sir Alf. Yoyo club.

They arnt as bad as youre making out. They have a decent team this year. Ok maybe not as good as us, but this new stadium is a game changer for them and should push them on to where Everton have been the last few seasons. Games against West Ham are gonna get tougher in future.
