The way opponent fans react to last night shows that Big Ange is on to something great. Last night will galvanize the team, the supporters and the whole club. We go again no matter what and no matter the consequences.

  • Ange making excuses. Confirmed fat loser. Let the decent bloke narrative die now please.
  • Man he is pathetic... It will be cute ar first but he wont last long here
  • Ange nearly snapped at the Sky reporter. 🤣 The nice guy persona is dead.
Take off your Spurs hat and in no fucking world did Ange attempt to make anything resembling an “excuse.”

Arsenal fans made some mentally stable comments there, but these three I’ve quoted are batshit crazy.

no one bothering then? never seen it so quiet after a match :ROFLMAO:
I spent a few minutes over on RAWK earlier... Considering Liverpool and Arsenal fans all say we're irrelevant and nothing to worry about, they spend an awful lot of time talking about us and revelling in bitterness still spilling over from over a month ago...

Really enjoyed that Karma last night, all they needed was to have a perfectly legitimate onside goal disallowed because some fuckwit cant communicate over a headset and it would have been perfect. Spurs high line with 9 men was a thing of beauty to watch
;D
They had a £50m #9 that didn't get off the bench yesterday! They're blessed though that Son is so resilient, I can barely remember him ever having an injury. Salah levels of fitness.
How can any Red be that arsed about Spurs that they start bickering about them
;D
;D
;D
;D
Wasn’t really karma though was it? Their 2 sending offs were legitimate red cards in comparison to when we played them. Fat Ange had nothing to moan about in terms of those decisions so tried to play the we accept the referee decisions card to make the wankfest over him even more unbearable.
Only just seen this. Spurs and VAR need to get a room.
If they dont win the league from here, surely itll be the biggest collapse in history. They had at least one hand on the trophy, even paraded around with the kids and sang about Ange's style of football.
Yes this is it. It's pretty obvious why Liverpool fans are enjoying an extended chortle at Spurs right now. It's kind of humorous that some people pretend not to get that and object to the pisstaking
No one is objecting to piss taking though? It's the apparent seething hatred for their manager that's confusing people.
Correct. Ire should be directed at PGMOL who fucked up. Neither Spurs or Postecoglu are responsible for their ineptitude. Some OTT comments have been made about the latter in the match thread and on here.
It's a shame they can't provide the same statistic excluding the time lost to VAR interventions. It didn't feel like a game filled with timewasting but there was definitely some shenanigans from players like Pedro Porro (rolling around for 30 seconds then springing to his feet with a big smile on his face and some arm thrusting to the Spurs fans).
Reading a lot of dislike for Postecoglu. Fat this and fat that. Bit harsh? I quite like the fella myself. Loved watching his Celtic team and even at Spurs at least they're having a go unlike other managers they've had.
At the end of the day they're still Spurs and they're shit, just not sure what Postecoglu has done to annoy so many people but hey ho.
Bigger than the defeat, losing van de ven and Maddison will fuck them big time. The way they play these are their 2 most important players.
I will definitely end up disliking him at some point, very few managers in and around the top six remain likeable forever.

Right now though he seems fine. I can’t stand his club and it’s fans, but he seems alright. Poch is also fine by me.
That £50m signing will be out for a while - Richi-la is having surgery on his pubic bone, which I can't even.

Still it'll make a change for him being a total pain in everyone else's balls.
Not only were the 2 red cards legitimate, one (the 2 yellow one) came 40 mins after a yellow card which was *worse* than the red Jones got against them (which was upgraded by the ref going over to the screen, as he did last night) - so again, Spurs got the lucky side of poor decisions.
Your response to adversity should've resulted in you being 5-1 down by 75 minutes. Against any decent team not having the collective mental breakdown Chelsea had, it would've been a cricket score and Postecoglou's crazy tactics would've been slated, and deservedly so.

It's completely incomparable to the shit we had to deal with at Spurs a few weeks back, where we actually had ridiculous decisions that put us two men down, as well as costing us a lead we should've had, and still we restricted Spurs to zilch. And yet all we keep hearing here is "brave Spurs". Such a load of bollocks.
Wasn’t really karma though was it? Their 2 sending offs were legitimate red cards in comparison to when we played them. Fat Ange had nothing to moan about in terms of those decisions so tried to play the we accept the referee decisions card to make the wankfest over him even more unbearable.
So he can't really win can he
:)
He moans and he's has no justification to moan. He doesn't moan and he's playing a game.
He should have Arteta'd it
Like who does it hurt anyway? Imagine being bothered by fans being tribal and OTT on a team specific footy forum. Like they are afraid their Man Utd, Abu Dhabi, Arsenal or Spurs “supporting” mates will catch a glimpse and make fun of them.
He is being a hypocrite with his comments about accepting the decisions as they were clear red cards, which meant he couldn't argue anyway. His tactics last night made no sense as well. I don't especially dislike him but the way the media have gushed about last night is just plain weird.
I think people are getting pissy because Postecoglou has been the beneficiary of some extremely favourable decisions and is now preaching respect for officials. I don't blame him personally, it's obvious how easy it is to influence officials and how beneficial it can be, he just wants to keep those imbeciles on his side.
Their position in the league is over-inflated due to the corrupt officials vs us and a flukey last-minute win vs Sheffield United.

They will drift down to their natural league position soon enough.

They just do not have the mentality to sustain a title challenge. It was the same in the year Leicester won it. The first bit of adversity and they lose their heads and start assaulting the opposition.

Their manager is the current media darling but I'll wager he won't be there in two years.
They’ll drop points at Wolves too.

Looking at their fixture list, they don’t really have an easy fixture until New Year’s Eve. They’ll be lucky to be in the top four by the new year.
I see the Kane money has ran out. Who will they sell now to make a donation to PGMOL?
Oddly - the media (and spurs supporters of course) are INFLATING the result.
Spot on. He always comes across as someone who loves the game and he has massive respect for Liverpool FC.
Just because a lot of his players acted like c*nts against us the other week.
They were c*nts before he took over, so rightly take your anger out on them and incompetent officials, and VAR who are doing their best to ruin our game.
I think most sides fans generally dont like thinly veiled swipes at their manager!

I look forward to his holier than thou stance when some big decisions that aren't so clear cut go against his side. The officiating is disgraceful and all this coward wants to do is back the officials because his side aren't suffering with dogshit calls, its pathetic. Everyones sick to death of the fuck ups and the last thing needed is pathetic pandering because his side wins fuck all and has little impact on anything ever, stop sucking up and taking swipes at those with the balls to actually try to impact change that benefits EVERYONE

Anthony Taylor got demoted to the Championship, fucked up the Preston game then gets reinstated to the prem for Chelsea City but big Ange says mate and we have to live with the mistakes so it's alright... fucking bottler, he's at the perfect club
I can’t stand Chelsea but I was overjoyed they smashed spuds last night. Their moment was coming. Didn’t see their fans laughing last night at var. Never mind Angie it is Karma for not agreeing with Jurgen to replay the game your team stole from us.
Didn't really have a problem with Ange's comments last night, he knew full well they were completely justified red cards. We'll see if he's just as gracious after a couple of bullshit decisions go against his team.
Hats off to Spurs, i hate them but credit where it’s due, the way they pushed everyone forward to end up getting battered 4-1 was sensational, arguably the best 4-1 defeat ive ever seen. Thought their manager was once again fantastic, the way he set them up to guarantee defeat, and then the nice things he said about referees afterwards. Grudging respect for the man, if they carry on like this who knows where they could end up this season, i think even midtable is possible, pains me to say.
That was amazing. I've never seen a team with 10 and then 9 go balls to the wall like that. Suicidal and Chelsea should have put them away far earlier, but if Son had put that in late on to equalise it would have been one of the best league games I've ever seen.

On a separate note, not all Arsenal fans are complete ****s shocker!

For some reason, an Arsenal page appeared on my fb timeline and the question was Martinelli, Rashford and Son- start one, bench one, sell one.

Almost all the Arsenal fans went with start Son and bench Martinelli. One bloke said ‘Son was shit last year’ and someone else reminded him that he wasn’t shit the 8 years before that and he isn’t shit this year… The first comment, which was start Son, bench Martinelli, sell Rashford, was met with around 700 likes. No funnies, just likes. With hundreds of comments backing the poster. I do wonder if they had the same question on Arsemania, would the results be the same…….

If it’d been RAWK i reckon you’d be looking at ‘Start Martinelli, bench Rashford and kill Son’.

  • His high line tactic was genius
  • Don't celebrate too much.
Were bound to shafted when we play them.
  • I bet he doesn't do it against us.

If we had Mickey, I actually do think we'd do them again. Even without him, I actually like our chances of taking something from it. I think we have spirit and energy in our team that they don't.

Come year 2076, victim FC will probably still moaning about it and releasing an "2023 we were robbed by Tottenham/VAR" limited edition jersey

I think it's time to release one of our legendary DVDs to commemorate that game. Imagine Tottenham fans buying one for every Liverpool fan they know.

If you're going to use an insult you're better off not using a pejorative term that is considered hate speech against people with mental disabilities and the neurodiverse community
Without getting into a massive debate with you as you clearly want to take offence at something but if i used the word yid on here would you consider it a hate term?

Clearly meant as in that they are just a bunch of idiots (am I allowed to say that?) so sorry if i offended you but I think it is pretty clear that altho maybe a poor choice of phrase it wasn't meant literally

  • Vicario is excellent. Would be one of the top keepers in the league.
    Yeah he looks really good.
Spurs had a really good summer.
  • This high line with two sent off is pure madness
  • This high line is beyond insane.
  • Tottenham's keeper would be perfect for us like.
  • I am entertained
  • Fair play to Spurs so far
  • I just love how Spurs insist on playing on the halfway line
  • Ange is crazy! Do respect his massive balls.
  • I'd love know what Ange's plan was
  • Is this really want we want in this sport?
  • Yes
  • Spurs stadium really is something.
  • Spurs with the high press, makes sense
  • This is so so funny, can't wait for all the post match fume
  • Spurs line is so high it's now in Chelsea's half ffs
  • i have never heard Ange speak. But I still have a feeling he takes it just a bit more gracefully than Arteta. Actually, I think trump takes defeat better
  • Spurs had 5 men in the Chelsea box there
  • This is genuinely the best game I've ever seen
  • Spurs fans have been class here
  • its a very unSpurs like character-wise display
Take this effort and character into future games.
We went on a thirteen game winning steak after competing with Derby whilst down to 8men back in the day.
  • it's been incredible
  • Could see Postecoglou turning this into a positive for Tottenham
  • Got to be high on lines to play a line that high
  • Easily the best game ever in the PL era.
  • What in the universal credit did I just watch?
  • That was better than The Wire
  • Ange was really classy there coming onto the pitch, shaking hands with the ref and linesman and leaving it at that, going over to the Chelsea players etc. Classy bloke
  • You can tell already Ange will be infinitely more dignified than Arteta.
  • This interview is as mental as the game was.
Jackson saying spurs are the best fans and club in England
  • Ok, I officially love Postecoglou. The anti-Arteta
  • Postecoglou has got them in a good place mentally. They'll be there or thereabouts
  • Honestly one of the greatest games of football I've ever watched,
  • Really hard not to like Ange. Seems like a really good bloke.
  • don't like him. His surname's too hard to spell.
  • Sky interview with Ange seems like a real dig at Arteta. Love it
  • "We go down to five men mate, we'll have a crack."
    That's great.
  • Brilliant, tbf
  • Not deliberately trying to jump on the Ange bandwagon but I did love his soundbites on reffing from last night
  • Ange makes me not detest Spurs. Conte really had to be the star of the show and an asshole like Arteta

It seems like we've earned a lot of respect in that defeat, both in the way we played and the way Ange conducted himself.
Such an incredible turnaround in such a short space of time and at this rate, we're going to be everyone's second favourite team by the end of the season.
Well, apart from the Scousers and Gooners. 😂

Thank you @Jgplk1 for all of your time and effort in signing up to other teams forums to give us their views.

I had a look an Red Cafe the other day and could see your username was active in a discussion on there. Proper commitment that.

Cheers.

With respect, and without appropriating this thread, it doesn't matter what your intended use for the expression was, the word "retard" used pejoratively is hugely offensive to people with mental disabilities and the neurodiverse community and as such has been removed from medical literature because it's only ever used insultingly.

It's not me looking for something to be offended about It's me telling you that it's a negatively loaded term that really has no place in our society. You can continue using it if that doesn't bother you in the same way that some continue using other slurs such as the "y" word or "n", etc and caveat it by saying you clearly meant something else - that's your choice.

Back on topic, yes they are total idiots but I don't believe anyone who didn't watch the match would understand what Ange was trying to achieve. It wasn't just a "stick to my philosophy" thing of playing a high line. It was a "I want to win" tactic and it almost worked.
