Maybe Luton away isn't such an easy game after all. Also Forest beat Villa so these bottom half teams are not the pushover people make out.

I know the thread is "What our opponents fans are saying about us" thread but I'd love to know what Liverpool are staying about themselves

Arsemania:

  • Romero is a great defender, if not so good on the ball, Van de Ven looks class on and off the ball. Pedro Porro is good, whilst I rate Destiny Udogie who is only 19 or 20 and looks very comfortable already (a bit like saliba on entering the PL). They have Bissouma who we know is very good, Sarr who is also very young, talented with a massive engine. And their most talented midifielder in Bentancur is just coming back. I think up front they probably need upgrades, Kulu and Richarlison could probably be upgraded on, in adddition to getting another striker. Like us in the past, they drop off considerably outside their first 11
  • That's great but on paper it's not what I'd call a top 4 looking side at all. Screams mid table to me. Again entering this season I wouldn't have any of them here. Could've made a case for Bissouma who I'd forgotten about but that would've only been based on his Brighton level.
  • That’s because Udogie, Sarr, Vicario and Van De Ven haven’t played in the PL and are still young and developing. Whilst guys like Porro looked **** as they had conte stinking it up. They look very good players, definitely top 4 level. Vicario was rated by many as the best keeper in serie A last yr, whilst Udogie was close to the best wing back as a 19 year old. Not household names as yet but they are very talented

:D This is what makes me chuckle, stuff like this - hands up anyone here who has sat down and studied the Woolwich squad - well, ANY squad outside of Spurs in depth to this degree...

I won't bring up the bit where they undersell Kulu but I have never, ever, eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeever bothered myself with the inner workings of any oppo's squad. I doubt I could even name the Woolwich starting eleven, I'm just not that keen on spending my minutes dissecting stats and figures for non-Spurs players. Different people find different things stimulating though, I guess... I'd rather spend my time gazing at boobs.

Fulham, Burnley and Sheff Utd are shocking and get battered by most top teams this season, Luton, Everton, Forest and a few others might not win that many games but they rarely get thrashed and on their day can give most teams a game.

Back to thread topic, nice to see how negative the chelsea fans are, it’s the most despondent ive seen their comments going into a Spurs vs Chelsea match for years.

Not sure that's true of Fulham, they got a draw at Arsenal and Brighton, Utd left it late to win there.

Fulham's biggest problem is lack of goals, they're a pretty well organised team but struggle to score.
If they can get a half decent striker in Jan, they'll be ok.

Who have Fulham have been ‘battered’ by? They lost to city after some outrageous refereeing, but otherwise have a GD of -8 vs the bottom 3 of around -20.

Watch them mate most teams create a ton of chances against them, they have one of the highest xGc, Leno has to make tons of saves for them most games.

Firstly, I can’t believe your quoting as xGA as evidence that a team who haven’t been battered actually have. Secondly, they don’t have one of the highest xGA anyway. Here’s a public source - their’s is 19, 8th worst in the league. Luton are at 28, second worst and only just better than Sheffield United
