They're complaining that VAR didn't look at it, but I'm sure VAR did in fact look at it and saw right away that Kane was onside. The gooners' lack of objectivity when it comes to Kane in particular really does make them post stuff I'd be embarrassed to post myself.
VAR didn't look at it is a phrase only spouted by idiots who don't understand how VAR works.

VAR looks at everything. The VAR booth isn't on standby waiting to be alerted about something. Every single goal, every tackle, every potential offence is checked and they involve the pitch referee and ask to halt play only when they want to take a closer look.

In the case of the second they will have looked at one freeze of the cross, seen that Kane was a yard on, and left it at that. Check over.

  • We’ve picked up 2 consecutive clean sheets in our last 2 competitive games, playing a back 5 in 135 of the 180 minutes combined. Is there a need to fix something that currently isn’t broke? The Spuds play a back 5 too.
  • There will be a lot of nerves for this...keeping things tight will be crucial to keep the crowd onside I see us starting with a back 3 and then changing things later in the game.
  • Dare I say they look there for the taking, based on today.
  • The way Son & Kulusevski play wide either side of Kane I can’t imagine we’ll go 3 centre halves. Two to double up on Kane with fullbacks marking their wide players, of which Emerson might be pushing for a start at lb with his pace. Heart says 2-1 to is, head isn’t so sure
  • They will try to hit us on the break and I don't think we are good enough to take it to them anyway. I will take a draw against spurs and Chelsea all day long.
  • This is going to be an absolute blockbuster. Tottenham are going to get bashed.
  • One thing's for sure; there's not much sweeter than a victory over Spurs.
  • Into these, it’s gonna be big, its gonna be hard, it’s gonna be fast, it’s gonna be loud, give the arrogant bastards a seeing to… irons!
  • You know Suprs have been playing well while we've been crap and Son hasn't scored yet? Hattrick for him. Hopefully we win 4-3
  • Always the most important game of the seaosn for me this one, especially when Spurs are doing well and we are not. Nothing beats turning them over as we have done at home a couple of times recently. I think it will be a score draw, maybe 2-2 with the key being whether we can control the midfield where I think Hojberg and Bentancur are excellent.

I enjoy reading the Arsenal thread, but I come to this one to see what other fans are saying about us. Could we change the name of the thread to “What other fans are saying about us, apart from Arsenal” ?

Pretty much.

But I'd say we are attractive in our attacking moments.

Pretty possession often leads to nothing when you're dominating.

If that's the definition of 'attractive ' in this context ..I'd agree.

But we purposefully choose to sit back with that organised defensive shape and look to transition ferociously.

I like it and it will yield a lot of points.

Yep, it will just take an adjustment for some to appreciate the new style, some people won't like it but that's fine, I like how we attack, how we look solid and organised etc, and going by last season, and also the saints game, we have the ability to steamroller weaker sides.
Even in our swashbuckling days under H, and even Poch we struggled to break teams down who sit back, we'd throw the kitchen sink at them, I'd say some of those games were incredibly frustrating to watch, it always looked as though we didn't plan for it.
We now have a plan, we look solid, will we drop points, yeah, could we improve with the ball, yeah.
We can't buy the top players to run through the league, so lets find another way, set piece coach, hard working, skillful shit housing alternative to Son, when we got ITK on the guy in Italy with cannons I thought it felt like a variation of moneyball.

The goons just won with a deflected goal and a goal mouth scramble, not exactly swashbuckling is it.. and still a bit suspect at the back, I have a feeling they're just riding high from pre-season and the form of Jesus.

I think VAR, Looks at each and every goal... most people know this.

This guy cracked me up, on Richarlson...

'I'd have given him a new dye job with the chalk on the sidelines if he did that to me. ****ing ****.'

…It also seems their go to is how boring Conte ball is. Will be interesting what they are saying once Arsenal play some decent teams. I think there will be a chance they will crave defensive stability.

Their other go-to is apparently the amount of money we’ve spent, which seems pretty hollow coming from them:

“Conte has spent more than anyone in 2022 - or close to it”

Ok Gooner.

I do like that we’re still getting under their skin despite them winning every game.

That was mostly an embarrassing read. Couple of level headed folks but the rest are surprising me with their ability to hold their heads up without a brace.
The one that made me laugh was them saying they didn’t give away any chances to palace… are they ignoring a 1 on 1 for eze…. An edouard header from 6 yards out….

Yes but all the stuff they’re saying is what everyone says in here on our match day threads. Our fans complain we dire to watch, get frustrated we defend deep and give up possession and just try to counter constantly

The way we play isn’t great on the eye, some of our counters are decent but even those this year haven’t been great as our front 3 isn’t firing. We’ve actually been very wasteful on counters this year.

Do you think that West ham fans know that they are of no significance to our fan base at all? I've never thought about them. I certainly don't consider them rivals and nor for I look for our fixtures against them.

Its so odd how they see us as their bitter rivals. They're just another team that we have to play, no more and no less.

As for us being arrogant, well, we've pretty much always been a bigger more successful club. We've often played in different divisions, so I guess we've always considered ourselves as being above them in the footballing hierarchy.

Strange club.

Embarrassing from Hamann, reading through the comments Richarlison has other fans and pundits absolutely rattled lol
Richarlison has barely played an hour of competitive football for us ??? I had a quick look at his minutes and he's been subbed in 3 times so far, after 57 minutes, after 76 and 74, he never used to boil this much piss did he ?

Yep, sideways tiki taka is extremely boring. Spain 2010-2012 are still one of the most boring sides I have ever watched. Brilliant team, but because they were so good in possession they could keep the ball for 3 mins without actually attacking
I would rather watch my team keep the ball and win than be under the kosh and hope for a good counter attack before the position finally score. I don't like seeing our players being outplayed. We are not fighting for survival anymore.
