If bale would have stayed Leicester and Chelsea wouldn't have won their titles
We would have

Completely different timeline. Not a fan of this.

Would AVB have stayed? Would we have signed Eriksen and Lamela still? Would Kane have had a chance or would Bale have covered over the need etc.

Cherry picking is pointless tbh - if Bale had left the season before with the same manager you might have a point, but we were a completely different team.

Butterfly effect. We likely wouldn't have had Lamela and Eriksen, which then changes plenty. Don't get the Eriksen goals and assists. Don't get Lamela's shithousery.

From the Kane thread on Red Cafe

SAF would've definitely signed him.

Yeah, let's just try and get KDB and VVD while we're at it.

I'm looking at Kane and see him in the Lukaku bracket.

He's finished ?

He's brilliant.
Very happy that he leads the line for England

Now there goes a real world class player

Still think he's overrated. Good goalscorer. Nothing excites me about him. (Everton fan)

I remember all the geniuses last year saying Kane is over it and was never really very good in the first place
Same people who would say Messi is over it
Just dumb tribal losers
Let’s build a team that wins, not worship our players just because they don a red shirt

People just judge him of the half fit performances...which I suppose are his fault to a certain extent. But when he is properly fit he's just class

Throw a £100m at him.

You can have Phil Jones and Harry Maguire too

He’s a phenomenal player. The Martial/Kane debate has always been a totally bonkers one. And I like Martial

IMO Kane has been Premier League best striker for the last 5 years.

But, wow. He's passing, vision, strength and positioning is just so good. He has so many strong attributes to the game.

A pure World class player. We haven't had a player like that since RVP.

He is incredible. His passing is special

They could multiply that by 10 and be in the ballpark of his worth to us, tbh. Although, if he goes in the next few years, it’ll be for £250-£300m. He is quite simply the best player in the Premier League along with KDB. An incredible goal scorer and an incredible passer.

If you take KDB's passing and vision, then throw in peak Aguero's finishing and instinct, u get todays Harry Kane.
If he keeps up this form, he's POTY without a doubt.

love the way some of their fans and ex players like Keane and Rooney say stuff like "go and get Kane" like its so easy.

They haven't internalised the fact that neither Spurs nor Man U are the same club they were 10/15 years ago - if they were Kane would have been playing for Man U for the last 5 years, Dele and Sonny too for that matter.

Other than that - Man U can't afford him, Spurs are not desperate for their money, and his prospects for success are no better and probably a worse at their club compared to ours.

He's one of our own and quite frankly who the f**k are Man U?

To summarise, we are no longer a selling club. We use to sell when players were too good for us, now we sell when they are no longer
good enough for us.
