I'm not really sold on McKennie being any better than Sissoko. He has more upside obviously because he is younger but if we want to win something in the next 2-3 years I'd keep Sissoko.

Even as a fellow American, McKennie isn't very high on my list. I'm not buying into the hype of any American players until they beat fuckin' T&T to get to a World Cup.

I think it's his agent trying to get him a move to PL.. Decent player but would he get in any other top 4 team?.. If our scout watches Shalke & can't see Serdar is the real jem in that midfield then he should be fired

This just seems like such a strange move for all parties. Schalke seem in desperate need of cash, so it seems like they would have preferred an outright sale to one of the other clubs linked. McKennie needs to play and that doesn't seem like a guarantee at Juventus. I get that Juventus' midfield isn't what it used to be, but, as much as I like him, I don't rate McKennie that highly. Even if they don't bring anyone else in, he's got to get in front of Artur, Rabiot, Betancur, and Ramsey if they can't shift him. I guess being 4th on the depth chart when they play a midfield three means he should still get plenty of time (and he can fill pretty much any other position on the field), but it seems like a move to Soton, Hertha, or Newcastle would have made more sense from a playing time perspective. From a USMNT point of view, I hope it works out for him though!
