See Arsenal dropped points tonight at home to Swansea and with City next for the gooner pricks it looks like Everton could really take advantage especially as they have Arsenal coming up what looks to be a mouth watering fixture. As much as I would love spurs to be back in the race, realistically I know we are to far behind and our underserved loss to Arsenal was the final nail in our coffin. I will be supporting Everton though as they are Arsenals biggest threat for 4th and boy would I love those wankers to join us in the Europa next year. So come and join me in supporting the toffees for 4th place :) COYE!!!!!

edit: people getting the wrong idea of this article. Yes I want spurs to get 4th no doubt but for me personally I believe we are out of the race so next best thing for me is to cheer on Everton aswell as spurs.

If we were completely out of it...yes.

But as it stands we're not, so I don't get this really.

Yes we're rank outsiders but I couldn't give a monkeys about anyone else until its virtually impossible for us.

If City beat Arsenal the Liverpool game means something for us, and I'll certainly take that even though it looks exceptionally difficult.

Jesus no doubt I want spurs to get 4th but are any of you realistically thinking we can do it? I would love nothing more than to beat Liverpool and possibly be back in the race but I can't see it so everton is our next best bet :)

Even if out of it and even though I literally hate Arsenal, I'd rather they get 4th and we finish above Everton, because the last thing we need is another club over taking us in the league and getting stronger and bigger profile and able to attract good players whilst we struggle, Arsenal are already above us in all those things as stand anyways

No, just a passionate spurs fan that can't stand those ****s Arsenal. They would be the same if the other way round.

If you're a passionate Spurs fan you should be rooting for us to finish 4th

It would be nice if they finished 5th but in all honesty what happens to them doesn't really affect us.

It's the hope that kills us yet keeps us going at the same time!

Win at Anfield and this place will be awash with positivity at the weekend.

I just hope we put some good performances in and give ourselves a chance.

Ultimately though I'd much rather Everton take 4th than the Scum!!

It does make this weekends game even more important. We have to get something and after that we have an easier run in than Everton. Le Arse have to play Citeh and Everton, but seem to be in danger of imploding. I think it's still all to play for!

Hasn't that rule been finished now, so both would still get CL?
I thought it was next season but it's a moot point because Bayern have already won the league so they could rest the entire first team squad for the United games if they felt the urge

This Everton revival could be good for us. If we beat Liverpool, and City beat Arsenal, Everton beat Fulham (let's face it us beating Liverpool is the only unlikely result here), that puts us 4 points behind Arsenal and 1 behind Everton (with them having 1 game in hand).

We would then need to win every game, hope Everton beat Arsenal and that Arsenal draw at least one of their other games (best we can hope for IMO). That would put us on 77 points and Arsenal on 76. We would then need Everton to lose 1 & draw 1 in their last 6 games (they play Man City, Southampton & Man Utd, so possible) to put them on 76 points and it is not impossible that they could be ahead of Arsenal on GD.

Either way if we don't win every game (inc Liverpool), the dream is over IMO.
