Levy will have some temporary heat but all will be forgotten when he reappoints Poch that week. Then in 1 year/ 18 months we'll have the same again. The fans are addicted to new managers, especially ones who already have an affinity to the club and Levy knows it.

Still so many fans here calling Conte clueless, come on ffs. We could appoint Pep, him not get his players or only half of them, performances slide and half the fans would call him a fraud and not direct the blame to the board.
if we reappoint Poch, it won't take 18 months for it all to fall apart. Poch has no more coaching skill than Conte, even with a new Manager bounce, give it 5 games and we'll all remember why we got rid of him the first time.

I have no idea what this latest panic is all about. Has Danny refused to buy anyone this window? Is Porro now a non-starter, has Hincapie been ruled out? What the fuck is this all about?

I'm not saying they shouldn't do it, I'm just questioning what they their end game is.
The end-game should be to push Levy out, with Lewis's daughter taking up a bigger role on the ownership side of things, and most importantly football people running the football side rather than bean counters.

Think there's more important things to be getting upset about and protesting than a football club not winning things. It's not like we're getting relegated or anything.
Perspective is great. Was swapping messages with a mate of mine. A long term Portsmouth supporter, one who has given money in the past to keep the club going. I said they have an easy ride on Saturday against us and our football is dire. His reply was that he was be happy with dire.

Getting to CL final, making finals and semis regularly was brilliant. Sadly too many entitled fans do t know a good thing when it’s happening. A solvent, competitive club that plays decent football is fine for me. I doubt want owners like Newcastle, Man City, and a lot of other clubs I can name.

The problem is DL is a much cleverer operator than the likes of Ashley. It's going to be extremely difficult to remove him because there will always be that 10-20% who adore him no matter what because of the image he's managed to cultivate over the past 20 years. I liken it to the chairman version of Arsene Wenger at Arsenal so I suppose there's hope it could eventually get bad enough to force a change. With each new manager you'd hope that 20% of supporters dwindles ever so slightly. He won't be gone for at least another 4-5 years is my prediction.
I don't know anyone in that 10-20 per cent category!!

Most fans appreciate what he has achieved with the New Stadium and Training Facilities but also realise that the direction of the club towards winning anything has been hopeless. Remember that without the sheer luck of Harry Kane falling into the team (I don't dismiss the works of the academy in achieving this) then we probably would never have had the run of top 4 success as no way we would have paid out £100m+ to get someone equivelant.

If Hercules is correct then Conte is on the way out. You would assume Poch will come in - anything else is probably unacceptable - maybe that's what Hercules understands. I can't think of any current available manager that I would take in place of Conte or Poch.

Very frustrating to be back here, again.

I actually managed to quit Spurs when Josè went, 6 days before the sort of final he was bought in to win for us. I stopped watching games, got my weekends back. And was pleasantly surprised to learn that life does, in fact, go on.

I saw Nuno had been hired and stayed well clear of that mess. Only Paratici's hire gave me some hope or excitement...

But I saw the results, caught very few minutes of the games and felt lighter about life. As if a huge weight had been lifted off my shoulders. As if, in some way, Nuno's disasterclass was vindication of my decision to walk away from football, and in particular, the shit-show Levy and his merry band of yes men had built.

And then, while I was on holiday in Scotland minding my own business, halfway up some hill, I was sent a picture of Conte holding up a Spurs shirt. And just like that, I was back in.

He's had how long? And already he's being shafted. Not just by Levy... but by us. We're happy to throw an elite manager under the bus. And why? Because he can't turn Emerson and Bryan Gill into Hakimi and Messi? Because we don't play the "Tottenham way"? (the biggest myth I ever did hear). Or, because his quotes on the reality of the state of our club leaves you open for abuse from your mates in your WhatsApp groups, or on twitter?

It's laughable.

If we as a club allow Conte to walk, I'll be pretty happy to see us fall to pieces. Genuinely. The club deserves no success whatsoever for the way it operates the footballing side of things. And isn't that a sad, sorry state of affairs? A football club that doesn't give a solitary fuck about the football.
And we let them off the hook time and time and time again. We continue to buy the shirts for our kids. We continue paying for the stadium tours. We continue going to the games. Buying the food. Drinking the beer. We allow the club to turn us upside down and shake every last penny from our pockets... And for what?

I'm struggling to think of one good reason.

Oh well... At least the nodding Argentinian dog is coming home, eh?

Agree with you for the most part but people need to stop thinking frustration with conte is because we arent brazil 1970.

Take a lead for a start that'd be nice, play a first half, and we can build from there. I dont think thats asking a lot, as literally every other team good or bad in the league has been able to do that more than us the last 5-10 games.

There is a lot of stuff which is very concerning I cannot reveal here, which nobody can dispute. We now need to make a stand.

This is not something I am doing because of a few knee jerks. I don’t do Twitter, and never will. But those of you who does, you need to start making it count. Bombard the club with emails. It is not about Conte. This is where many are totally misguided.

I have been sharing behind the scenes for a long while. And they can tell you I have never been wrong on this. The club is in a total mess. One person is causing this. And if you believe Poch or another manager is the answer, you are in for a rude awakening.

Let us unite as fans to drive Mr Daniel Levy out of our club.
That's it confirmed for me. Daniel Levy all the way.

Oh how I wish this was in South Africa, we don’t need a reason to protest and even tear shit up. Wake up on the Wrong side of the bed? 6 month protest in the millions.

Sorry, but this reminds me of Trump inciting the march on the Capitol. Completely over the top and inflammatory.
I wish you had said this earlier. I've just assembled the flaming torches & pitchforks. Do you know Amazon's return policy on used goods?

Imagine Conte gets sacked this week and fucking Mason is in charge of the NLD - we’re 3-0 down at half time - Levy will have a fucking riot on his hands.

People say what can we do, we’ll Newcastle fans made it so hostile that Ashley didn’t turn up to home games anymore - that would be a start for me - hound Levy out of his place of work on a match day
Difference was that Ashley was the de facto owner and couldn't attend his own matches due to the abuse. If Levy left how would that worry ENIC?

It's not entitled to be ambitious and to want to always move forward. It's competitive sport and there should always be a will to improve and win things or what's the point?

We know next to nothing about her though other than she’s not Levy and Steven Caulker said something rude to her once that effectively ended his career with us.

It was said repeatedly when Conte was hired that it was Levy's last roll of the dice. What possible reason could Levy have for not doing everything in his power to smooth things over? Are Conte's demands just totally overboard because I can't think of another reason Levy would let things go south when he would seem to have so much to lose, not least the already fragile support of the fans.

If Levy wants Conte out why the need for leaks to the media? Surely just wait until the end of the season and don't take up the option for another year - it can only be triggered by the club. If Conte gets us top 4 again it's a bonus, but I am not aware of a clause that entitles him to stay if he achieves that.

IF Levy wants Conte out before transfer spending is allowed, then I guess he will be gone after the next defeat - which could be tonight.

Is there some bigger financial gains for Levy from the manipulation of the managerial posts in our club I truly wonder. Is really not sustainable and utterly stupid in wasting compensation for the managers sacked as well as buying players for this manager only to sell for the next one. There is basically no ROI at all for someone so cash-sensitive like Levy.

As concerning as the giving of leads has been, we also need to not knee-jerk and judge a guy over such a small run of games. Judging Conte on results since he's come in - he's done a very, very good job. Doesn't feel like it at the moment but think of where we were for 2-3 years and he got us back in the top 4 and has us within spitting distance of it again.
