I live in North Manchester and in London and abroad for work

Las is my choice of pub for games in town. Good pubs in the north part of the city, but doubt you would go that far.

I posted a similar thread when I moved up here in July '09 mate.

Best places I've found are either the Lass O'Gowrie (landlord is a poster on here) on Charles Street, just off Oxford Road behind the BBC; very friendly pub, loads of screens, reasonable prices and never any loutish behaviour. All footie fans seem to co-exist peacefully in there - definitely my #1 footballing haunt.

The other I occasionally frequent is Joshua Brooks next door, on the corner of Princess Street, opposite the Ibis - again, landlords are Yiddos and you get a decent crowd in there - I was there for Spurs vs Chelsea this season and nearly everyone there was a Yid. Again, none of the drunken louts in football shirts who you'd find in places like Deansgate/Quay Street Walkabout, or Yates on Portland Street.

General rule of thumb - avoid Deansgate for football. Although if you're in Fallowfield then I doubt you'd venture all that way anyway!

Good luck finding somewhere mate, give us a shout if you're going to watch any of the matches soon, I'm usually there.

good post.

in fallowfield, friendship is your best bet by far. they also show saturday 3pms and have multiple screens so spurs will be on (without sound) even it clashes with a united game.

on charles street, the Lass and Joshuas are both good football pubs. Lass is owned by a yid and one of the Joshua's managers is a yid. if you're around uni, the footage on grovesnor street (next to the deaf institute) and jabez cleg (behind kro/natwest). if you're near hospitals on oxford road, the oxford.

There do seem to be a large amount of us around Manchester to be honest.

The two venues I listed seem to have the highest concentration of Spurs fans from the places I've been to but I know there are many others - I've just not been.

We ll have to have a meet up for one of the games

Joshua Brooks is a good shout!

Id definitely be up for a meet of the Manchester Spurs contingent sometime.

there are lots of spurs fans in manchester, there's no reason to watch a game alone. the guys who watch games in Joshua Brooks go to all the away games in the northwest. i used to go with them but i moved south. by the sounds of things there's also enoug of you lot and ERO to make a little SC manchester crew

Milan! Let's unite the Manchester yids.

I've not been too impressed by the Friendship Inn. I'm spoilt by usually watching it in an all-Spurs pub with 50-350 yids back home though :p

Where will be best for Milan?

I am in Manchester, live in Whalley Range, but work on Oxford road...

Normally just watch the games at home as money has been tight, but payday today so am thinking of heading out tonight to watch the game.
