Newcastle are falling to pieces with naive Keegan just watching.

It's quite a joy to watch

When Wilfred Bouma scores against you, you may as well give up.

Before the game there was a preview shown here where this bloke said that in the Racing Post their Editor has just done his 'what the final table will look like' standings, which he does every year with a fair amount of success.

He had Newcastle down to take up the final relegation spot.

Anyone who can find this table and post it will get one piece of rep and 2 cyber-kisses, one for each cheek.

Found this article;

BY the lawof footballing clichés, at least one seemingly safe Premier League club will be dragged into the relegation mire by the end of the season.

Step forward Newcastle, who tick just about every box of a team spiralling down the standings, as they head to Aston Villa for today's live lunchtime showdown.

For the time being the Magpies sit 12th in the table, but they are just seven points above relegation zone and some will be tempted by the 16-1 about them dropping out.

“We need to turn our season around, and the sooner we do it the better,” said manager Kevin Keegan, who was hailed as the Messiah when he returned to the club last month but is still waiting for his first victory.

The run-in looks tough for Newcastle with difficult assignments against Manchester
United, Blackburn and Liverpool on the horizon before potential six-point humdingers with Birmingham and Roy Hodgson's Fulham, who sit in the dreaded drop zone.

With Derby virtually out of the running, there is set to be an almighty scramble to avoid the two other relegation spots and the vodds suggest it is wide open.

Fulham are odds-on with Blues next in the market at 13-8 and Skybet rate the struggling pair 5-1 to head to the Championship with Derby automatically assumed to be finishing in the bottom three.

Is that unfair? Not one little bit. Paul Jewell's team have just nine points and Ladbrokes are 11-5 for them to break the lowest points tally of 14 or fewer.

So, while County can get ready for the Championship, the two remaining places could go all the way to the final day of term.

Many punters have been backing Reading in increasing volumes after a few awful performances, not least last week's 2-0 home defeat at the hands of Bolton.

Steve Coppell's team face a tough test at Everton today and odds of 3-1 will disappear unless there is a drastic improvement.

Wigan, Bolton and Middlesbrough are looking best of the bunch at the moment, although Steve Bruce, Gary Megson and Gareth Southgate won't be resting until there is more space between them and the bottom three.

All of those teams were expected to be involved in the relegation battle, with Newcastle the undoubted exception. They were 33-1 to go down ante-post and some still can't see them slipping through the trapdoor.

Bet365 rate superstar Thierry Henry just 11-2 to join the St James's Park outfit before September. The 1-10 he does not may be the value bet of 2008.

Bet365 – T Henry to sign for Newcastle before September 1: 1-10no, 11-2 yes; M Owen to play full match v Aston Villa: 2-7 yes, 5-2 no; Owen's league goals (3 so far): 5-6 under 6.5, 5-6 over 6.5.

Hills – Derby's total points (9 so far): 11-10 14 or fewer, 9-2 15, 6-5 16 or more; Newcastle to finish in top ten of Premier League: 1-4 no, 11-4 yes. Ladbrokes – Derby to reach 15 points this season: 1-3 yes, 11-5 no.

Skybet – which two teams will be relegated with Derby? 5 Fulham & Birmingham, 11-2 Fulham & Wigan, 6 Fulham & Sunderland, 13-2 Fulham & Reading, 9 Fulham & Bolton, 10 Birmingham & Wigan, 14 bar; to stay up: 1-16 Middlesbrough, 1-5 Bolton, Reading, 1-4 Sunderland, 4-11 Wigan, 2-5 Birmingham, 11-10 Fulham, 33 Derby.

Not bad. Quite interesting. You get the rep, but not the kisses, I'm afraid. You'll have to try harder if you want those.

Keegan is past it. They won't be relegated this term, but if Kev sticks around next year, they'll be in the Champioship in Sept 2009.

WTF is going on with Viduka?

It was incredible that King Kev just sat there like the twat he clearly is and didn't throw on Viduka at 2-1 down.

Maybe it was because Alan Smith was playing so well and being so effective.....

Or maybe not!
