SEC is terrified of the spread offense. Saban wanted to change the rules to make it harder to runn.
Eh. Many teams have run the spread there. No one though has ran an Air raid in that conference. Its just such a fun offense when it clicks. I will miss the late Saturday night Washington State games though. I love Mike Leach. Fun character. Fun offense. Defense optional, however.

IMO, the Pac 12 needs an entertaining offense in the conference to get respect(when they play). They need eye balls and they dont get many with their 10-11pm games. Thats why Mike Leach, the fun Oregon read option years with their 1000 jersey combos & the pete carroll at USC years were massive for the conference.

Herman was really hyped up at Houston and for good reason. Not really brought any type of success to Texas though.
meh, he had Ed Oliver and Ward at QB in a weak conference. And really only had one exemplary season. Trust me, I was huge on bringing him to Texas having taken notice of him in that first year.

Like I said, he's in his 4th year. UT gave up a blocked punt for a TD, muffed another for a TD and failed to recover a onside kick. And had 100 yards in penalties. Those arent the signs of a well coached team.

nobody there has run the spread the way Leach. and Mumme designed it. Pretty much every team in the big12 has had a Leach protege on their staff in the last 5 years.

It's better than being a Maryland fan like me. Our highlight is losing 70-14 to ohio state every year. And Oklahoma lost today so that's a positive. Unfortunately Vince young was the last thing that really springs to mind when I think of Texas football. Haven't nearly hit those heights and that was 15 years ago.

The spread could be anything. It’s the college football offense. Nearly everyone runs it. So its not like it is a foreign concept. But it is true that no one has ran it like Mike Leach does in that conference

hey, you guys beat Herman twice!

Texas with Colt McCoy played for the NC in 2009, but McCoy was knocked out of the game in the first quarter. But yeah, that 2005 Texas team was good at every position.

So much for limited attendance. Apparently attendance in todays Texas A&M/Florida game was 30k. However, that cannot be more off. It’s like double that. Some wearing masks. Some not.

There really is nothing better than fall saturdays. I love college football.

Well Texas is "showing restraint"....that is about 1/3 the capacity at TAMU.

Florida has throw open the doors everywhere and said have at it.

Large scale outbreaks in the Baylor and Florida football programs. 42 in Baylor’s program. Reports say 19 in Florida’s but they’re only officially reporting 5.

If you could pick which states this would happen in, it would be Texas and Florida. So this is not surprising. Their governors almost act like this doesnt exist.

I have a strong dislike for this sport. It was better without the big ten. God harbaugh stinks. Thank god for alcohol.

so whats your story? your teams are Michigan, the Yankees and the Texans.
Im Spurs, Yankees, Knicks, NY Rangers, Texans, Michigan football, Cincinnati basketball.

The outliers:
1. Texans - Loved football. HATED the jets and giants. Went with the expansion team. God those first few years were rough.
2. Michigan football - My cousin and her husband went there. Started rooting for them when they were students. Have an affinity for them in basketball too but rather Cincy there.
3. Cincinnati basketball - Those Bob Huggins teams were so fun to watch. A buddy of mine and his brother got me into them. We havent turned back even though its a bit rough.
